Management/Leadership Duties:
Manage Operations team to ensure policies and procedures are followed at all times
Hires, trains and supervises operations team members for the front desk, Kids Club and Housekeeping Associates.
Serves as Liaison with Corporate Customer Care Department assisting General Manager with member and/or operational issues
Responsible for control of cash deposit with GM sign off ensuring daily deposits are made on time
Serves as Liaison with cleaning team daily to ensure proper level of cleanliness maintained at all times including daily management of the cleaning checklists
Works in cooperation with GM to manage/process cancellations following procedures in place to retain member
Assists GM with management of Medallia to ensure all members concerns are addressed in a timely manner
Assists GM with bi-weekly payroll to ensure all missed punches are corrected and submitted on time with payroll signed off by the indicated deadline
Ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets
Enforces all club rules, policies and promotes proper execution of all procedures.
Keep the club fully staffed thorough review of applications, interviewing making hiring recommendations to the general manager.
Manage membership questions, concerns, and inquiries for their facility
Develop and monitor monthly, quarterly and annual metrics including employee retention and satisfaction
Train staff to be the face of the club by providing hospitality to all members and guests
Lead by example to provide a clean, friendly, top of the line club for our members
Manage employee performance by coaching, and creating a healthy, positive working environment.
Conduct weekly meetings with direct reports to review performance and offer direction, inspiration, and guidance toward achieving individual and club goals
Operations Support:
Ensures that all front desk systems are followed such as proper Member Check-In, Telephone Inquiry, Guest Registration, Cash Handling, Replacement of Member ID Card, Delinquent Account Procedures, Account Change requests, travel/guest passes
Directs and controls all gym walk-thru
Communicates with GM regarding ways to improve front desk operations
Responsible for communicating and following cash management procedures
Manages the retail sales procedures for the gym.

Internship Program
The Equinox Personal Training Internship offers students a unique opportunity to learn and work alongside fitness industry experts in our cutting-edge facilities. This program bridges academic knowledge with real-world experience, helping students develop essential skills for a career in personal training. While the internship is hosted by Equinox, the training provides broad applicability to related businesses. Participants can also access Equinox's specialized education through our proprietary education, the Equinox Fitness Training Institute (EFTI) and connect with Coach, Coach+ and Coach X trainers. Internship duration is flexible to suit academic needs, with mandatory paperwork due before commencement.
Throughout the internship program, interns will be required to complete a variety of large and small projects that will encourage them to fully immerse themself into the business that will also mimic curriculum that a student will see in their undergraduate education. The following are examples of potential smaller projects:
Study one injury per week, documenting causes, signs and symptoms, treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention
Become familiar with all possible specialties and/or certifications that the intern is potentially interested in studying/receiving in the future
Design programs based on two selected trainers who are specific in their PT goals, any notable injuries, athletic history, etc. (can be hypothetical)
Research the following conditions: Hypertension, Diabetes, Pregnancy, CVD with points on cause, physiological implications, benefits of exercise on the conditions, exercises to help, and exercises to avoid
Weekly connects with supervisor to review progress on weekly objectives and set up actions for the upcoming week
Member experience & engagement activities: fitness Specialist Shifts, front desk support, member reach outs, etc.

Qualifications
Students must be eligible to earn academic credit for their work
At least 2-years completion towards an undergraduate degree: Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education, Personal Training, or other applicable majors preferred

The main purpose of this position is to supervise the maintenance staff and operations of all activities related to club maintenance and to ensure that the club consistently meets Equinox's standards for cleanliness and safety.

Contribute to and consistently apply Equinox's policies and procedures
Hire, train, supervise, coach and evaluate maintenance staff

Require Manager on Duty's ("MOD") to attend monthly facility reviews

Report to the GMIT daily for open tasks
Ensure adequate inventory of maintenance and locker room supplies
Conduct frequent walk-throughs
Implement inclement weather procedures
Oversee deliveries
Be aware and knowledgeable of emergency procedures
Attend Manager meetings
Maintain high visibility during peak club hours
Ensure high level of customer service
Keep current in knowledge of key competitors as to their location, physical plant, and equipment
Assist in the development of annual budget with respect to the Maintenance Department
Perform all other projects and responsibilities as required

We are looking for an energetic, creative, and enthusiastic Spa Coordinator to join the Equinox team at its state-of-the-art location in Century City! This is a great position for a candidate looking to make a significant impact in a growing and dynamic organization.
The Spa Coordinator is responsible to help ensure a memorable experience for our Spa guests. This includes greeting guests as they enter the facilities, orientating guests to the spa facilities, and providing personal guest service.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Interviewing, hiring and coaching staff members
Outreach marketing for the spa
Manage daily operations including inventory management, client relationships, and driving the business to achieve financial goals and budgets
Perform up to 10 treatments per week
Provide orientation tour, explaining spa amenities offered and answering guests' questions
Provide detailed descriptions of spa treatments, packages, services, facility features, and hours of operation
Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions, and retail, as well as programming promotions.
Handle guests' questions and concerns professionally and courteously
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized spa environment through consistent monitoring of the locker/facility area
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have the following experience, skills, and education:
Enthusiasm and possession of excellent customer service skills
Must possess a valid California Massage Therapy or Esthetics License
Enjoys working with people with a friendly and outgoing personality
Able to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment
Basic math and money handling skills
Excellent communication, listening, and computer skills
