We are a leading medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology group specializing in skin, hair, and nail conditions, Mohs micrographic surgery for the treatment of skin cancer, surgical and non-surgical cosmetic skincare, anti-aging, body contouring, and plastic surgery. * This is a float pool position between East Bay Clinics. Travel is Required* As a Medical Assistant, you'll get the unique opportunity to partner with providers and guide patients through their treatment. * Preparing exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies. Ensures all treatment rooms are cleaned and stocked at the end of the workday. * Reviewing patient history, visit reason, medications, and patient understanding of procedures, and make notes in EMA. * Ensuring MIPS information is consistently and accurately completed in the medical record. * Assisting with scheduling of patient's tests and treatments. * Assisting dermatology providers during surgical procedures, such as excisions, Mohs surgery, and cosmetic dermatology procedures. * Providing support to the front desk by answering phones, scheduling patients, and assisting staff in determining the need for reception assistance once all back-office duties are addressed. * Cleaning and performing spore testing on the autoclave, following scheduled maintenance, and keeping accurate records. * Checking the expiration dates on medications and samples, maintaining records of date checks. Keeping the biopsy book, slides, and pathology reports up to date, and recording results in patient charts. * Processing prescription refills in accordance with established procedures. Ensuring authorization for prescriptions as needed. * Consistently demonstrates responsibility in managing the pathology and culture log. * This role will involve substantial multitasking and task management to ensure timely completion of all responsibilities. Additional job duties may be assigned by the Practice Manager based on the practice's needs. * Your main goal is to ensure exceptional service for our patients, making them feel welcome, comfortable, and well-cared for during their visit. Your attention to detail, compassionate approach, and dedication to patient satisfaction will significantly contribute to the overall success of our clinic. Job Description We're seeking a passionate Senior Clinical Assistant to join our Unified Care team with both technical and clinical roles to develop an innovative, team-based chronic disease management program. You will utilize iHealth devices and Unified Care platform to help manage patients with chronic conditions on-site and online with other clinical team members. Under general supervision in a fast-paced Primary Care clinic setting, the Clinical Assistant will assist with direct patient care as dictated by established protocol and coordinate the team to achieve team goals. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This role requires you to be tech-savvy, and you must be comfortable with working with our internal messaging (Google Hangout, Zoom, Google spreadsheet, pdf, printers, etc. ). Also requires you to be patient and able to explain technology to a non-tech savvy population. You will be responsible for teaching our elderly patients on how the mobile app and medical device works, as well as helping them with troubleshooting with any tech issues. Communicate well with teammates, providers and staff in clinic Assists with direct patient care procedures and related tasks; checks in patients, assists in obtaining patient histories, takes vital signs, prepares charts, and assists with medical examinations. Maintains accurate documentation in electronic health records. Performs routine specialized procedures, such as setting up the iHealth products for the patients under established protocols. Obtains pertinent labs and other tests as needed by the provider. Manages clinic inventories and medical supplies. Educates and advises patients on specific medical issues within established parameters to include obtaining prescription information. Directs patient flow following provider schedules/patient appointments. Maintains assigned examination rooms. Coordinates routine office activities and administrative functions to support clinic activities. Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods.
