Pew Research Center's Social Trends team studies how social and demographic change affects the way Americans view and experience work and family life, with a particular focus on differences by gender, race, ethnicity, and socioeconomic class. The team explores these topics by combining original public opinion survey research with social, economic and demographic analysis. The Social Trends team also works closely with other teams at the Center on research about Americans' attitudes about race.
Position Summary
The research associate will be primarily focused on the role of AI in the workplace. The research associate will also contribute to research on key economic trends that are shaping American life and play a role in other aspects of research related to social and demographic change. This includes idea generation, assisting in the design and analysis of research and helping to write and review reports. The Research Associate is also responsible for helping to manage projects and field requests for information from the press, government officials, and other target audiences. This position requires substantial knowledge and skill in economics, statistics, data analysis, and project management. Familiarity with major government surveys and other key administrative data sources that touch on the labor market, income and wealth is essential. Some knowledge of public opinion surveys is a plus.
The Research Associate will work integrally within a broader research team to ensure that data management and coding are carried out without errors and that data analysis and reports meet the highest standards of accuracy and impartiality. The Research Associate will also conduct background research, write research reports, produce charts and tables and fact-check research products. This position works closely with other researchers on staff and reports to the Associate Director for Research.
This is a term-limited position expected to extend 3 years.

Education/Training/Experience
· B.A. required, advanced degree preferred; degree in the social sciences with a preference for economics or a related field. 5-9 years of research experience, with at least 3-5 years of specialized research and analysis experience expected. Often includes significant graduate training at the Ph.D. level or equivalent experience in an applied setting. Candidates with significantly more experience will be considered at the Senior Researcher level.
Proven experience in undertaking research involving demographic and economic data analysis, including using SPSS, Stata, R, or other statistical software
Familiarity and experience with a range of statistical techniques, including multiple regression analysis and synthetic cohort analysis
Training or experience in studying economic trends that are shaping American life. Interest and experience studying AI in the workplace is essential.
Experience in helping manage research projects, including working collaboratively with other researchers
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
· Strong quantitative skills, including extensive experience with SPSS, R, Stata or other statistical tools

Mid-Columbia Center for Living (MCCFL) is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) that specializes in providing services that are both trauma-informed and recovery-oriented to persons/consumers with mental illness and addictions. Trauma-informed care includes safety, choice, collaboration, trustworthiness, and empowerment for both clients and staff. MCCFL serves Hood River, Wasco, and Sherman Counties and utilizes a consumer-involved, consumer-engaged, and consumer-driven model. MCCFL provides a whole-person care approach to adults and children to address both physical and mental health needs. MCCFL offers a variety of programs including a mobile crisis unit, intensive case management, ongoing counseling, community support, supported employment, jail diversion, hospital discharges, hearings, and more.
What skills and education do you need:
Any combination of education, licensure, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the position's essential responsibilities is qualifying. This includes:
Certification as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) through the Mental Health and Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO), or registration as QMHP-R within 14 days of hire is required.
Master's degree in a MHACBO qualifying field AND
Relevant experience providing counseling, case management, or care coordination in behavioral health such as an acute hospital, residential facility, or related setting.
Two (02) years of overall relevant experience preferred.
Experience with co-occurring disorders strongly preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish/English language preferred.

What you'll do:

Ensure smooth development and operation of Choice Model Services:
Act as liaison to the OSH to include the following:
Acute hospitalization authorizations.

Attend all appropriate meetings with State, Mental Health Organizations (MHOs) and/or clients/families regarding community-based services.

Provide transition planning and management.
Develop operational procedures in collaboration with other MHOs for local placements, including:
Client screening processes.
Service plan coordination utilizing principles of wraparound and person-centered planning; and
Develop system for tracking financial/funding and utilization management for vacancies in all appropriate settings.
Provide exceptional needs care coordination to include:
Assess individuals' needs and determine eligibility for services.
Conduct person-centered planning and case management with clients and families as appropriate to client needs for those clients in residential settings or other placements to step-down into the least restrictive environment.
Submit contract amendment requests to appropriate residential placements as needed.
Respond to community requests for referral and placement for clients in the priority populations, and for those clients that are served outside of designated priority populations.
Work within the community and Agency to develop a rich service array and resources for clients transitioning into the community, and for clients transitioning between settings outside of the hospital setting.
Participate in and attend all required meetings at the State and agency level to include,
Interdisciplinary Team (IDT); local planning committee; residential team meetings; and any other relevant meetings as directed by the Clinical Services Supervisor and Clinical Services Manager.
Provide consultation to all community partners necessary to ensure efficient program operations.
Work with other MCCFL programs to ensure seamless service coordination for clientele eligible, entitled to, and/or in need of additional services.
Drive locally, regionally, and state-wide to transport clients and provide services in the community. This includes overnight travel and stays from 3-5 nights to provide monthly face-to-face visits with clients across the state.

Job Purpose Statement:
School nursing is a specialized practice of professional nursing that advances the well-being, academic success, and life-long achievement of students. The purpose of the nurse in schools is to facilitate positive student responses to normal development; promote health and safety; intervene with actual and potential health problems; provide case management services; and actively collaborate with others to build student and family capacity for adaptation, self-management, self-advocacy, and learning.
This temporary position will specifically cover the nursing needs of a nursing dependent student. The nurse will be responsible for the care of the student from bus pick up to drop off. Daily care includes frequent nursing assessments and interventions. The nurse will be responsible for tracheostomy and ventilator management, including suctioning and inhaler/nebulizer administration. In addition, the nurse will manage gastric tube feedings, medication administration, toileting assistance, and all other health care needs during the school day.
Job Qualifications, Licensure, Certification:
Registered Nurse through the Oregon State Board of Nursing
Possession of, or ability to qualify for, an Oregon School Nurse license through Teacher's Standard and Practices Commission (TSPC).
Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Master's Degree (preferred) in Public Health, Nursing,
Nutrition/Dietetics, Social Work, Health Education, Public Administration or other similar field or related professional experience
Minimum of 1 year of public health, community, school or pediatric nursing (preferred)
Certified in CPR or BLS
