Join our team and contribute to groundbreaking research. The Senior Manager, MN Research Operations provides strategic leadership to the clinical, regulatory, and financial units of the assigned CRO. Directs managers/supervisors assigned to these units within the CRO by establishing and implementing operational standards and monitoring progress and compliance. Serves as the subject matter expert on best practices on clinical trial management, regulatory requirements. Responsible for the strategic expansion and ongoing achievements of the CRO, in partnership with the Director of Operations and Medical Director. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the strategic planning, organizing, and oversight of the TACRI CRO including the development of strategies for patient recruitment, compliance, performance and quality improvement, operational efficiency, and employee engagement. Ensures the development of TACRI's clinical research infrastructure that supports the clinical research community and is consistent with expectations of NCI-designated Cancer Centers as outlined in the Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) guidelines. Ensures that all institutional, local, state, and Federal Regulations, Good Clinical Practice (GCPs), ICH, and IRB requirements are met and that all research programs within TACRI are structured to continue to meet these expectations. Supervises a team of highly skilled and efficient clinical research staff charged with upholding the same expectations and requirements including continued focus on increasing efficiencies, improving quality control, and providing a robust training and education program. Provides expertise, guidance, and oversight to the operational units within the CRO (clinical, regulatory, finance, quality, training, information systems, etc.). Supports the implementation and/or maintenance of requirements as outlined in the National Cancer Institute's, Cancer Center Support Grant guidelines relative to all clinical research requirements (i.e. Clinical Protocol and Data Management, Accrual of Women and Underrepresented groups to clinical trials and associated Data Tables). Supervises the development, implementation, and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent, safe, and efficient management of clinical trials and continuous improvements in the fiscal integrity of clinical research activities. Administrative management of the electronic systems used to monitor CRO performance and efficiency and participation in the development or the selection of institutional systems that would impact the CRO operations and conduct of clinical research in the TACRI. Provides oversight for generation of monthly reports including but not limited to CRO performance, accrual, monitoring, time to activation, audit visits, and financial performance. Ensure accuracy of clinical trial information in all CTMS, clinical trial databases, and tracking systems. Ensure quality, timely, and accurate data and report submission. Assists in the growth of TACRI clinical research program throughout Cedars-Sinai Cancer Network and Affiliate sites alongside institutional leadership. Integration of Cedars-Sinai and the TACRI central research administration initiatives and serve as a pilot for expanding clinical research support services enterprise-wide as appropriate. Represents the TACRI CRO on Health System committees and task forces. Serves as liaison to advance clinical research interests including participation in community outreach. Oversees financial resources, development, and management of clinical trials budgets; and in conjunction with the Executive Director of the CRO and TACRI Finance Director prepare, monitor, and forecast the CRO annual operations budget. Responsible for the full range of supervisory functions, including assessing staffing needs; interviewing and evaluating candidate qualifications; hiring and onboarding new team members; maintaining and enhancing staff competence through ongoing training and development; assigning and reviewing work; evaluating performance; recommending compensation actions; and administering disciplinary measures up to and including termination of employment, in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. Position Summary: The Editor will oversee editorial management for manuscripts in production, perform developmental editing of complex scientific manuscripts; consult with and advise academic authors to ensure clarity and quality of final manuscripts; and uphold high editorial standards. Position description Position Overview The University of California, Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR) invites applications for a UC Cooperative Extension (UCCE) Area Advisor at the Assistant rank. The Advisor will develop an innovative multi-county applied research and extension education program supporting the large citrus industry in Tulare, Fresno, and Madera Counties. The Advisor will develop problem-solving and educational programs for high-priority production issues related to climate and drought resilience in citrus, including warmer temperatures, decreased water availability, and decreased water quality. Research and extension solutions may include rootstock and cultivar selection, irrigation and soil management, and emerging innovative farming practices. Additionally, the incumbent will work on horticultural solutions to production challenges, integrating research and expertise from colleagues in agricultural engineering, irrigation, plant pathology, and entomology to address concerns such as limited and increasingly expensive inputs (labor, water, nutrients, etc.), the threat of huanglongbing disease (HLB), and other emerging pests and diseases. One of the most pressing concerns for citrus growers in the region is the implementation of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA), which is reshaping how water is allocated and used. The advisor will help growers navigate the evolving water landscape while protecting crop productivity and quality. UCCE Advisors are responsible for applied research and extension of knowledge. Research activities are applied, needs-based, and mission-oriented, focusing on addressing the challenges in our communities. Extension activities are the educational practices that Advisors use to share research results directly with clientele and communities to increase their knowledge and understanding of science-based research that supports and promotes the adoption of practices and technologies to solve problems. Extension methods may include individual consultations, presentations, organizing educational workshops and short courses, field demonstrations, farm visits, and site visits. Information may also be disseminated via radio outreach, webinars, fact sheets, policy briefs, news blogs, and social media. Publications are expected in various formats, such as newsletters, articles for the popular press, curricula, conference proceedings, and peer-reviewed publications. Successful research and extension programs result in new information that improves knowledge or understanding and adoption of new skills, practices, changed attitudes, policies, and improved environmental, health, agricultural, economic, and/or social conditions. UCCE Advisors are evaluated through an academic advancement system based on four criteria: extending knowledge, applied research and creative activity, professional competence and activity, and university and public service. Location Headquarters: The position will be headquartered at the Tulare County Cooperative Extension Office, located at 4437 S. Laspina Street, Tulare, California, 93274. Position Details Sustaining citrus production in Tulare, Fresno, and Madera Counties is critical to the area's citrus growers, many of whom are small-scale family farmers. The three-county region represents approximately 58% of California's citrus acreage, adding billions to the area's economy, including thousands of jobs. Citrus is a high-value crop with potential to sustain rural agricultural economies in the decades to come. However, citrus crops face challenges that require local, on-the-ground, research-based solutions. The Advisor will conduct applied research on topics relevant to the citrus industry, based on a clientele needs assessment and the Advisor's expertise. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and a trade show expert. This role will help ensure the satisfaction and repeated participation of these key stakeholders. This role will directly support the Sponsorship Fulfillment Lead and Sponsorship Sales team, partnering closely with show management, and key event logistic teams. Responsibilities: Assigned to lead up to 25 accounts. Responsible for populating and managing the Sponsor Portal with Coordinator support Work on Sponsor newsletters and Know before you go document. Develops sponsor information sheet with key dates Handles reach out to all sponsors related to Media Bag gifts Sets up 2-3 Freeman webinars with all sponsor contacts to review the Exhibitor Services kit including a Q and A Relating to Account Management Weekly update call with Sponsorship sales team Weekly update call with Sponsorship fulfillment Lead Set up initial call with each assigned sponsor to discuss timelines Relay booth numbers to Sponsors with an introduction note Review Exhibitor Kit with Freeman Manage all logistics as it relates to assigned sponsors. Collect High Level Experience Plan for Operations review Attend booth review (1) and relay feedback to assigned sponsor Collect Detailed Experience Plan Collect all COI's and send them to legal for review Collect Draft Electrical diagrams and pass along to teams Collect Draft Internet diagrams and pass along to teams Collect Final Electrical diagrams and pass along to teams Collect Final Internet diagrams and pass along to teams Work with assigned sponsors on lead retrieval strategy Get information for credentials to input into registration tool Review any in booth talent, activations or signings and all related logistics (ie crowd control, security) Advise and source all items that need to be produced (and paid for by sponsors) relating to assigned account activations Provide all related signage copy for all assigned sponsor activations. POC to TUDFE event producers for collaboration, information and all physical event activations by assigned sponsors that take place during the event. Main “execution” contact for assigned sponsors. Event week - key contact for load-in/event days/load-out for assigned sponsors, EAC wrist banding execution, sponsor activation fulfillment. Responsible for input into post-event feedback report Basic Qualifications 5-7+ years of experience working in a sponsorship environment or trade show environment. Proven experience managing multiple complex stakeholders. Understanding of the Trade Show related workflows Strong organizational and documentation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to represent The Company to our key partners, sponsors, licensees. Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment. Familiarity with client brand standards, processes, and culture preferred. Experience working with sponsors or licensees for The Company is a plus.
