Responsibilities Work in the Operating Room of a Level 1 Trauma Center Patient population includes ortho, ortho trauma, vascular, urology, and general surgery cases Preferred experience with neurosurgery, open heart/thoracic, ophthalmology, ENT, bariatric, and gynecology procedures Shift is 5x8s, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with every other weekend required Mandatory one 12-hour weekend call shift per month with no weekday call Mandatory floating may occur within scope and possibly to other Cook facilities within 50 miles Uses Cerner EMR system Floating outside primary competency may occur following a team-based model Navy blue scrubs are provided No block scheduling or special scheduling requests allowed Maximum of 5 days RTO allowed, no more than 2 consecutive days, and no RTO before, after, or on holidays or weekends Strict compliance with laboratory onboarding requirements within 72 hours of offer acceptance Requirements Active IL RN license required at time of consideration (no pending licensure accepted) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Minimum 2 years recent acute care OR experience required Demonstrated experience with scrub and circulate roles Level 1 Trauma Center experience is required Locals are accepted and preferred if living within a 75-mile radius Proof of COVID vaccine is required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-662180.
