OVERVIEW:
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Builds student base by creating safe environments for all Golfers, provide high quality instruction, and build long lasting relationships with each student. Talk with clients to identify strengths and weaknesses of swing / game, get to root of students' lesson goals, and act as Trusted Advisor for each respective student. The Golf Professional will seek out information and opportunities to develop self to become a better teacher. Ensure teaching concepts are directed toward students understanding and adjust teaching style to best facilitate students learning. The Golf Professional is continuously looking for new and creative ways to build a robust student base, striving to meet and exceed the financial and metric goals for the role.
The Golf Pro is directly involved in community outreach by partnering with local organizations to teach, support, and spread awareness of the Dick's House of Sport experience. Our Professionals are leading initiatives within their local community to promote our services - Fitting, Lessons, Club Tech, specialized service through the variety of departments and how we would like to create lasting relationships with each Golfer, no matter where their Golf journey may take them.
Golf Professional works collaboratively with Certified Fitters and teammates to enhance the Trusted Advisor experience with each student. That may come in the form of interacting with Fitters / Golfers during Fittings, offering suggestions or advice on lesson plans to improve swing / game, sharing knowledge, experience and expertise with fellow teammates and Golfers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
1-3 years experience
Active PGA of America Class A or LPGA member in good standing
3+ years knowledge of club-fitting through experience and/or OEM training
PGA of America Class A or LPGA Member in good standing, Apprentice Level 1,2,3 or interested in becoming a PGA/LPGA Member through our PGA/LPGA Associate Program

Maintains a safe environment and facilities for student-athletes at all times.

Submits athlete rosters to the Director of Student Life three weeks before the first game, any changes to student information on the roster, inventories (copy to Office Secretary as well), final season statistics, and alphabetical list of award winners immediately following the season (list includes the number of awards earned and the class of the athlete).
Consults with the Director of Student Life regarding any off-season training programs.
Assigns duties to all assistant coaches under his/her jurisdiction, including pre-season practice sessions.
Interacts thoughtfully and courteously with students, staff, parents, fellow coaches, and officials and resolves conflict in a professional manner.
Appropriately maintains and secures confidential records and inquiries.
Professionally represents the school and the District in interactions with students, parents, community, staff, and the media.

Instruct and advise students on NCAA regulations with regard to academic requirements for scholarships and recruiting practices.

Ensures that all coaches work together and always operate in the best interests of the student athletes

Maintains, files, and copies of all pertinent materials, eligibility forms, transfer forms, grade reports, and ensures that AoC, OHSAA and DPCR guidelines are followed
Job qualifications
Successful participation in a similar activity in high school and/or college.
Minimum of three years of successful past coaching experience at the middle, high, or college level
Knowledge of golf it's mechanics, rules, equipment and terms.
Possess a valid Ohio Department of Education Pupil Activity Permit
Complete all required Health and Safety training and certifications to be eligible to coach in Ohio
Valid driver's license; must be insurable with good driving record
Student Supervision/Interaction:
Adhere to the Decree on Child Protection requirements.
Complete monthly required Bulletin trainings per VIRTUS Child Protection standards.

The Role
We're looking for a Golf Coach who is passionate about helping others improve their game while delivering an exceptional experience. This position reports directly to the General Manager of Performance and plays a key role in developing lasting relationships with our members and guests.
As a Five Iron Coach, you'll balance high-quality instruction with engagement time, working closely with our Social and Performance Teams to introduce golfers to lessons, fittings, and memberships. As you grow your client base and achieve performance goals, you'll transition into a full-time instruction role, supported by our Coach Development Program.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver best-in-class golf instruction through individual and group lessons for players of all skill levels.
Utilize TrackMan and other Five Iron technologies to provide data-driven, personalized coaching and custom club fittings in partnership with Callaway Tour Fitting.
Actively engage guests during Golf Experience Engagement Time - promoting lessons, swing evaluations, fittings, and memberships.
Build and retain a loyal client base by creating welcoming, memorable, and performance-driven experiences.
Represent Five Iron Golf at corporate events, delivering fun, high-energy instructional sessions.
Maintain a consistent lesson schedule that meets productivity goals and performance expectations.
Leverage social media to promote your coaching services and the Five Iron brand.
Conduct junior clinics and support community outreach programs to grow the game.
Follow up with students to convert swing evaluations into ongoing lessons and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
Serve as an on-floor Performance Expert, engaging with members to elevate their overall golf experience.
Participate in ongoing education and certification programs to continually sharpen your coaching skills.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of golf industry experience or graduation from a PGM program.
Proven one-on-one and group coaching experience preferred.
Strong understanding of swing mechanics, ball flight laws, and launch monitor data.
Proficient with video analysis and comfortable with golf technology tools.
Excellent communication skills - able to connect with golfers of all skill levels and explain complex concepts clearly.
Energetic and engaging personality with the ability to facilitate fun, group-based learning experiences.
Driven to learn, grow, and help students achieve measurable improvement.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
PGA or LPGA affiliation and/or PGM program graduation are strong pluses.
Physically able to stand, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs for extended periods.

Position Summary:
The dispensary professional is responsible for guiding patients through the process of selecting the appropriate medicine for their needs and by providing education of medical cannabis products. The dispensary professional is responsible for one-on-one interaction with patients from the time they walk in the store to the time they leave with their purchase and will provide excellent customer service while making the patient feel empowered and confident in their decision.
Essential Job Functions:
* Register patients/caregivers into the system using their MMJ card and identification used to obtain the card, verify the recommendation and status the MMJ card with the OHMM registry; confirm all required profile fields are complete; check guest into the POS system
* Using OARRS, verify days' supply available when checking patient or caregiver in, when recommending a medication to avoid over administering medication, and at check out to make sure they are not being oversold
* Adhere to any doctors' notes in the system for dosing, medication type, and administration of medication
* Provide education to patients on product types, uses, and dosage to ensure maximum benefit for their qualifying condition and symptoms
* Confirm medication pulled matches the medication entered into the POS by checking product labels against the patients' cart
* Make certain all labeling requirements are completed at check out
* Assist patients in person and by phone with inquiries and concerns
* Adheres to and educates patients on Ohio laws and regulations as it relates to the Medical Marijuana Control Program including methods of consumption and administration
* Ensure compliance with applicable state and local laws through all stages of the sale of medical cannabis
* Provide support to the Dispensary Manager, as requested, to ensure daily operations of the dispensary run smoothly, properly, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
* Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
* Other duties as assigned by your supervisor
Qualifications:
* Must be at least 21 years of age
* Must have a high school diploma, or the equivalent
* Must be able to pass all background check requirements as set forth by the Department of Commerce and Board of Pharmacy
* Must be able to obtain licensing through the Board of Pharmacy as a Dispensary Support Employee
* Retail or hospitality experience, preferred
* Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without an accommodation
