The Controls Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and optimization of controls systems in our manufacturing facility. This position develops and implements standard processing procedures in the plant, leads small project teams, and collaborates closely with operations during the design process to troubleshoot and resolve problems during construction or installation.

Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age

Must have a bachelor's degree or higher or at least four (4) years of work experience in engineering
Must have at least one (1) year of work experience in a manufacturing, distribution, operations function or have completed a Sherwin-Williams Development Program in an Engineering function
Must have formal training in or at least one (1) year of work experience implementing Programmable Logic Controls ("PLC") and/or Human-Machine Interface ("HMI")
Preferred Qualifications:
Have completed formal training in and/or have at least one (1) year of work experience applying continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc.
Have a bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering

The Senior Electrical Reliability Engineer is responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, and reliability of electrical equipment and infrastructure at the Celanese Pensacola Plant. Responsibilities:
Primary Functions
Work in a team environment with other engineering disciplines, operations, and mechanical personnel
Ensure safe, cost effective, operable electrical equipment and associated systems are provided and maintained to meet current business unit needs
Specify new electrical equipment to comply with industry and company design practices
Provide assistance in the field during plant start-ups, shutdowns or upsets as needed
Provide troubleshooting assistance for plant electrical installations
Provide quality control during maintenance outages for electrical equipment
Manage the development, updating, and implementation of equipment strategies for electrical equipment
Lead electrical infrastructure plan development and improvements
Drive electrical infrastructure improvement projects and steward recommendations to site management team
Provide technical support for front-end development, cost estimation, design, construction, and startup for projects, change packages, and turnarounds
Develop/review electrical contractor work scopes while incorporating site best practices and standards
Ensure all projects and repairs meet local codes and regulations i.e. IEEE, NFPA 70E, NEC etc.
Willing to be available outside of normal working hours to occasionally serve as technical consultant
Translate technical problems into business risk while communicating a case for action for mitigations or proposed solutions

The Role:
The Senior Controls Engineer role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery. The Motion Control Engineer is responsible for the research, planning, design, and development of the core software elements that control the critical motion mechanisms contributing to the function and performance Accuray's radiation therapy products. * PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
* Software and hardware development of Accuray's control systems, including robotic manipulators, precision positioning systems, thermal and pneumatic control systems. Detailed analysis reports (design reviews, control system models, DFMEA, etc), debugging, reliability cycling, system integration and formal testing are key components of the development activities.
* Researches, analyzes, plans and implements the control system design in accordance with product requirements as established from various sources including marketing, manufacturing, reliably, and customer specification documents. Drives distillation of system level requirements into sub-system and component level requirements.
* Develops and executes comprehensive test plans, including manual and automated tests, to rigorously verify developed hardware and software against defined requirements and specifications.
* Hands-on, data driven problem solving - commonly working directly with motion hardware to move development efforts forward. Assists with hardware prototype builds and troubleshooting as needed.

What you'll do:
Candidate will be an employee of the Automation group supporting the manufacturing of optical fiber. This individual will provide technical support in the area of PC and PLC based controls and automation for improvement projects and production support.
Principle Functional Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain PLC and HMI programs utilized by production and facilities to control manufacturing processes and support equipment. Provide controls and automation support for the manufacturing of optical fiber, including off-hours support on a rotating basis. Instruct, assist, and mentor individuals of the electrical team. Refine processes throughout facility pertaining to electrical safety as well as equipment efficiency. Inspect, repair, adjust, install, and maintain all electrical systems including calibration of electronic instrumentation systems. To modify, rebuild, repair, or overhaul electronic and electrical equipment and controls. Applies knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Support the commissioning of new equipment for production. Ensure proper backups of all programs and critical support files are maintained per plant standards. Other duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

Experience/Education:
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar educational background;
3+ years of hands-on experience in Automation & Controls Engineering or similar field
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Advanced control system engineering and programming of complex process tools and automation primarily using Beckhoff, Mitsubishi, and Omron PLC's, Windows and Linux PC's, C#, Python and SQL.
Expert level troubleshooting of all facets of automated systems.
Knowledge of manufacturing executions systems including direct experience integrating equipment data streams into factory information databases.
Advanced knowledge of process control and implementation of real time data acquisition.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to influence others and collaboratively gain consensus using supportive data.
Ability and willingness to work hands-on.
Ability to travel 10%.
