Goodwill Northern Michigan began in 1972 as a nonprofit sheltered workshop for people with disabilities.
Community support made it possible for us to open a new GOODWILL INN in 2006, and better serve people experiencing homelessness.
Food Rescue joined with Goodwill and the first truck ran in 2008.
Our work at the Inn led us to establish PATRIOT PLACE transitional housing for veterans in 2011.
