A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN ENTRY-LEVEL PROCESSOR / RETAIL STOCK ASSOCIATE
As an entry-level Processor / Retail Warehouse Associate, you sort donated goods and textiles with an eye for detail to ensure that Goodwill quality control standards are met. You inspect textiles, furniture, appliances, small household wares, novelty items, books, toys, decorations, and sporting goods to determine salability. This includes testing electronic merchandise to determine safe operations.
You then sort, hang, tag, price, and prepare goods for resale, preparing accurate reports as required throughout the day. You also help promote the development of service participants. You are committed to safety and help keep your work area clean and void of hazards as well as operate equipment with attention to safe operating procedures. You feel great about the vital role you play in supporting our mission of serving the community.

Essential Functions:
Act as legal counsel as required.
Maintain appropriate confidentiality of all matters learned in the course of client representation.

Duties:
Prepare pleadings and legal materials for trials, administrative hearings (including investigatory interviews and Skelly hearings), arbitrations and other legal proceedings.
Identify and interview witnesses.
Assemble and evaluate evidence.
Keep supervisor informed of the progress and status of caseload.
Inform the Executive Legal Assistant or other assigned Legal Assistant of scheduled dates (such as hearings, court dates, arbitrations, scheduled leave, etc.) and changes to those dates to update the master calendar.
Maintain a personal calendar of all due dates, court appearances, investigatory interviews, and all scheduled appointments and personal absences (this is besides the master calendar maintained by the administrative staff).
Keep clients and, when required, the appropriate Board of Director, informed of the status and progress of the case.
Handle intake calls as necessary.
Draft and analyze legislative measures and regulations.
Perform legal research.
Draft legal opinions as assigned.
Maintain knowledge of relevant and current statutory/regulatory changes, appellate, administrative, and arbitration decisions and developments in the field of public sector labor law through self-study, CLE, and continual review of relevant publications (including online).
Timely inform support staff which files should be "tickled" to ensure time limits are met.
Draft and process grievances to their conclusion.
Participate, analyze, and make recommendations regarding arbitration and legal matters consistent with CCPOA SOP and Bylaws. Assist with collective bargaining as assigned.
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate or equivalent degree, from an accredited university; admission to the California State Bar or bar pending; working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, and Westlaw/Lexis; valid California State Drivers' License; ability to pass a criminal background check and obtain a CDCR Contractor Identification Card to gain access to CDCR institutions and facilities.

Feature Engineering & Development
The same data scientists stay involved as the feature moves into execution. They support all necessary functions (Amigo, QA, etc.) to ensure data tracking is in place when the feature goes live. They also begin preparing to support launch evaluation and measurement against experimentation design or business case success criteria.
Feature Rollout & Performance Evaluation
Owns tracking the rollout, running A/B tests, and conducting impact analysis for all features that they have been involved in the Feature & Functional Design and Feature Engineering & Development stages. They provide an unbiased view of how the feature performs against the original business case along with making objective recommendations that will provide direction for business. They will roll off once the feature has matured through business case/experiment design and evaluation.

Unwind plastic or metal banding material from reel, wrap band around stack or bundle, inserts loose end of banding material into strapping tool and cinches and crimps banding material and clamp with strapping tool to secure articles during storage or shipment. Complete with all agency safety policies and DOT guidelines.
