Overview POSITION SUMMARY: Assists Truck Driver with loading and unloading vehicles and navigate the assigned route. Also assists with overall awareness while driving and guides the Driver whenever backing up a vehicle. Responsibilities Essential Functions Statement(s): Accompanies Driver on assigned routes and assists with any navigation needs, overall awareness while driving, physically escorting vehicles on properties where space is limited and anytime driver is in reverse and positions chock blocks whenever the truck parks. Safeguards all donations and company property from damage and theft. Treats all donations and company property with respect and care. Safely and efficiently loads and unloads trucks, vehicles, containers and trailers. Loads and unloads vehicles by hand or by use of hand truck, lift gate and/or pallet jack. Politely and professionally assists in collecting donations/product from Goodwill facilities throughout San Diego County. Following all guidelines for accepting donations found in the TruckDriver and Truck Helper Training Manual. Assists the Driver with Pre and Post-Trip inspections. Daily cleaning the cab and box of the truck at the end of the workday. Safely and efficiently pads, stacks, and secures items in position on the truck to prevent damage during transit. Follows all safety rules and regulations and performs all assigned duties in a safe manner according to all company safety guidelines. Reports any safety concerns immediately to on site management or immediate supervisor. Complies with all guidelines set forth in the Truck Driver and Truck Helper Training Manual. Complies with all reasonable work-related directions and requests from assigned Driver. Notifies supervisor immediately of any concerns. Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned or directed Qualifications SKILLS & ABILITIES: Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. Experience: No prior experience necessary. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, ability to operate GPS tracking system preferred. Experience: At least seven years of accounting experience, including five years of supervisory experience. Computer Skills: Computer skills. MS Office, MS Dynamics, internet, email, MS Office 365. Certificates & Licenses: Valid California Driver's License with driving record acceptable to Goodwill's insurance. Must have an insured vehicle.
