A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MATERIAL HANDLER To provide material handling support including operating a tipping machine to load products from gaylords onto rolling tables, staging outlet gaylords in all areas and table rotation support, as necessary. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MATERIAL HANDLER Basic written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently while at the same time fostering strong team atmosphere and positive promotion of agency. Able to lift 40 lbs. You accept, load, unload and sort donations at 5 donation trailer sites in Summit County. With a gracious and positive attitude, you accept merchandise donations and provide assistance to our donors. You always offer them a coupon, a receipt, and a smile. With efficiency and a great sense of organization, you sort clothing and household goods into categories. You also keep accurate and up-to-date records of donations.
