Position Summary: The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the Opportunity Center's facilities, including office, classroom, meeting, and warehouse spaces. This position supports a professional and welcoming environment for staff, program participants, and visitors. Key Responsibilities: General Cleaning - Offices and Common Areas Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors daily. Dust surfaces including desks, shelves, windowsills, and furniture weekly or as needed. Clean and sanitize door handles, light switches, and other high-touch areas daily. Restroom Maintenance Clean and disinfect sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, and counters daily. Refill supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet tissue, sanitary products) daily. Report plumbing issues such as leaks or clogs immediately. The Janitorial Floor Technician will be responsible for performing janitorial floor work and cleaning assignments on a day-to-day basis according to the specifications stated or as deemed necessary by supervisor. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: High school graduate or GED preferred Experience: 2-5 years of janitorial services, including stripping, waxing, scrubbing, buffing, carpet cleaning, and operating commercial janitorial floor machinery Knowledge: Must be able to work independently after being given a directive. Must be a self-starter. Must know chemical and emergency procedures. Must identify and maintain the various floors installed in industrial and office establishments.
