Goodwill of Colorado is seeking candidates with production (for example retail, restaurant, hospitality, production or similar industries) as well as cash handling experience to become our Retail Generalist Associates. This position will be full-time and will require open availability (including evenings and weekends). Our Retail Centers are open 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sundays.
Pay: $17.15 Hr. This position is eligible for Daily Pay! Work today, get paid today! We've partnered with DailyPay, a voluntary benefit to offer employees access to their pay on their own schedule. Full-Time employees in our Retail and Sales/Operations Divisions are eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Short Term Disability, Life/Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Flexible Spending Accounts, Long Term Disability, and several voluntary supplemental benefit offerings. JOB SUMMARY:
The Associate II, Retail Generalist will have existing knowledge in retail products, merchandising, pricing, and quality inspection. Acting as a back-up for all areas within the Retail Store, the Retail Generalist could be performing multiple tasks in different departments on any given day. These tasks include but are not limited to: donation receiving, material handling, processing both hardline and softline goods, working the sales floor, and operating the cash registers. The Retail Generalist will work both in a production environment as well as being active on the sales floor. The Retail Generalist will have contact with customers and will need to provide excellent customer service displaying an “Attitude of Gratitude” in order to support the mission of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Crosstrain in other departments/areas and act as back-up for other areas as required.
Work closely with department supervisors to determine which areas are short-handed with staff or in meeting Retail Store goals.
Accept donations from customers, to include loading/unloading of product ensuring that every item is handled with care to show respect to the donor and for the item.
Sort and inspect donated items making decisions on quality and value of product, pricing it accordingly, and researching value as necessary.
Uses and becomes certified on pallet jack, walkie stacker, forklift, hand dolly, or other equipment or tools to effectively move and store donated product.
Ensure that the sales floor is well stocked with product(s) according to Retail Store policies and procedures.
Provide accurate cashier transactions and a balanced cash drawer with minimal errors using a computer-based point-of-sales system.
Assist customers with product questions while providing excellent customer service.
Ensure the production and sales floor areas are well organized, stocked, and clean to ensure store presentation and shop ability.
Ensure E-Commerce products are processed accurately and moving to E-Commerce efficiently.
Rotating/pulling old/unsold product(s) from the sales floor ensuring that our product selection is always new.
Help provide a safe working environment for you, customers, and fellow employees.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
A High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Experience:
One (1) year of experience in retail, product placement, or merchandising is desired.
One (1) year of cash handling preferred.
Other:
Have a high attention to detail and ability to make decisions.
Able to adapt to frequently changing work schedules and tasks.
Able to obtain certification in all employee positions through completion of On the Job (OJT) documentation.
Able to obtain walkie stacker and/or forklift certification to safely operate equipment.
Able to withstand prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to 8-hours per day.
Able to lift up to 75lbs, use a dolly and pallet jack as required.
Able to obtain Powered Equipment Operator certification to safely operate equipment.
Able to work a varied schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays with occasional overtime as necessary.

The Outlet Sales Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service as a first point of contact for the Outlet customers. Additionally, this position has cash handling responsibilities. This position partners with team members in a fast-paced environment to expedite merchandise to and from Outlet sales floor; and provides operational support to the management team.
Role and Responsibilities
Provide professional and friendly customer service support by greeting customers and explaining store/outlet layout.
Accurately handle cash, including, but not limited to, making change, operating and maintaining the cash register and credit card machine, and using a calculator when needed.
Maintain knowledge of merchandise and answer customer's questions courteously and promptly.
Maintain Outlet sorting tables stocked with merchandise, keep floor merchandise neat and orderly (furniture), and assist customers with purchase selection/pricing if requested.
Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to Goodwill uniform standards.
Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Adhere to work schedule set by supervisor.
Maintain an orderly and clean register area.
Maintain familiarity with store security procedures and exercise security practices when necessary.
Perform Outlet store upkeep duties as needed to include sweeping, mopping and wiping production tables.
Occasionally, assist donors and customers outside of the Outlet, greet donors, receive donations, and supply donors with receipts.

The Outlet Sales Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service as a first point of contact for the Outlet customers. Additionally, this position has cash handling responsibilities. This position partners with team members in a fast-paced environment to expedite merchandise to and from Outlet sales floor; and provides operational support to the management team.
Role and Responsibilities
* Provide professional and friendly customer service support by greeting customers and explaining store/outlet layout.
* Accurately handle cash, including, but not limited to, making change, operating and maintaining the cash register and credit card machine, and using a calculator when needed.

Our Retail Centers are open 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sundays.
Pay: $15.65 per hour. This position is eligible for Daily Pay! Work today, get paid today! JOB SUMMARY:
The Associate I, Retail Sales Cashier is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by greeting customers in a welcoming manner and responding timely and professionally to customer inquiries. Sales Associates must help maintain a well-stocked and organized sales floor that meets company standards and be able to operate a point-of-sale cash register system to ensure the quality of product and pricing are accurate at the time of purchase.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for verification of till counts, provides accurate cashier transactions, and maintains a balanced cash drawer using a computer-based point-of-sale system.
Responsible for driving the Roundup initiative by engaging customers and sharing knowledge of the mission it supports.
Provides excellent Customer Service upholding company values.
Provides assistance to customers with questions, concerns, and purchases.
Responsible for completion of opening and closing procedures.
Maintains a clean and organized sales floor by regularly cleaning and organizing shelves and racks, picking items up off the floor, putting away product from racks, carts, or baskets, as well as putting away returned or unwanted items.
Provides a safe, clean, organized, and well stocked point of sale, sales floor, and restrooms.
Initiates Customer Delight/Power Hour calls over intercom to organize and clean sales floor.
Follows all retail center policies and procedures.
Follows all safety processes and procedures to help provide a safe working environment for employees and customers.
Cross-trains in other departments or areas; act as a back-up for other areas as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
A High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Experience:
One (1) year of retail sales or cash handling experience is preferred.
Other:
Must be accurate with numbers and general calculations and understand the value of different coins and US currency.
Must be able to use basic math such as adding, subtracting, and multiplication.
Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
Must be able to operate a computer-based cash register and credit card machine.
Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to eight (8) hours per day.
Ability to see color for accurate transactions.
Must be able to work a varied schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays with occasional overtime as necessary.
