Cons of working at Goodwill of Olympics and Rainier Region

Very political. CEO expresses her very biased political views. Should not be political environment. Org should serve its employees in a non partisan, non judgmental manner.She definitely violates the rules of non-profit management.

Goodwill of Olympics and Rainier Region benefits

Wonderful building, although underutilized and not extremely welcoming to outside customers. Coffee shop gone. Dining area closed. Ghost town, except 4th floor management suites. No veterans program as advertised.

What do you like best about Goodwill of Olympics and Rainier Region's CEO and the leadership team?

Leadership team is self serving, no regard for working class. No leadership support of previous, and now extinct, programs such as barista, culinary and vet programs. And yet the leadership begs for more donations. Sad.

How would you improve Goodwill of Olympics and Rainier Region's culture?

Fire the CEO, Sr VP. Both have severely downsized significant and significant programs.

How did you prepare for the Goodwill of Olympics and Rainier Region interview?

I provided the military background for my position.

How does your compensation at Goodwill of Olympics and Rainier Region compare to the industry average?

$20 an hour with 35 years of military service, an MBA and a bronze star. No raise in 3 years.

What's the diversity at Goodwill of Olympics and Rainier Region like?

Poor. Although, the org is working on becoming a non-racist org. Much to do in that regard. Sr VP is a huge supporter of the BLM movement and touts this at every opportunity.. Does not solicit BLM contributions that I know of?

What brings you the most joy at Goodwill of Olympics and Rainier Region?

Very depressing place to work.
