About the Position
This position is primarily responsible for cleaning and sanitizing apartments, public areas, and facility restrooms, and/or other areas as assigned.

Job Duties

Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Safety and Security, the Security Officer will be responsible for performing the security and surveillance duties at Goodwin House Bailey's Crossroads. The Security Officer will provide monitoring and maintenance of the perimeter security, building entrance and egress areas used by Goodwin Living staff and residents, as well as the parking facilities, patrol the interior of the building perimeter, maintain safety and security standards under emergency conditions, communicate orally and in writing, complete reports of security operations, perform non-routine assignments, and non-urgent maintenance duties after maintenance hours.
The pay for this position is $22/hr
Job Duties:
* Monitoring of security stations, operating and maintaining security equipment.
* Provision of security services through enforcement of Goodwin House Bailey's Crossroads policies and procedures.
* Tasks to be completed by Security Officer.
C1. Provide security services as directed for any special events, including setting up of "No Parking" signs, conducting traffic, and parking, etc.
C2. Assist in delivering / escorting emergency vehicles to building entrance where needed (when resident needs to be transported to Hospital).
C3. Understand the Fire System to perform the following operations when system sounds:

b. Report supervisory troubles on the system to Maintenance Staff

About the Position
Position is primarily responsible for providing a variety of receptionist activities in serving residents, visitors, and others that include managing and monitoring security systems within the GHA community, as well as responding to security issues. The receptionist is expected to take an active and decisive role to ensure that sign in procedures is followed, camera views are properly monitored, lock outs and keyless lock system alarms are handled immediately, and that people attempting to enter the building at entry points equipped with cameras and buzzers are properly identified before entry is allowed. Job Duties
Managing visitor sign in protocols, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
Monitoring of fixed camera views on computers located at the Reception Desk
Responsible for counting and maintaining all cash transactions including but not limited to reconciling each cash bag and petty can drawer on each shift.
Responding appropriately to requests to enter the building at monitored entry points and parking garage, with specific emphasis on ensuring identification is properly verified before entry is allowed.
Operates telephone console by recording and delivering messages, transferring incoming calls to residents and appropriate staff, and providing coverage to other departments as requested.
Oversees and distributes facility, apartment/mailbox keys ensuring security guidelines and proper procedures are maintained.
Collects payments and fills out appropriate forms for guestrooms, guest and contractor meals; sells and distributes meal tickets; sells stamps and cashes checks for residents as requested.
Assists residents and visitors with requests for cab service, van service, and other requests in a polite and proficient manner.
Monitors residents' presence/absence for the facility through the check-in and check-out procedures. Responsible for giving residents absence slips and submitting credit slips to Finance.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Minimum of two years experience in public relations, customer service, or related area required.
Must have computer skills in word processing.
Must be able to deal tactfully, effectively and with compassion with all people.

About the Position
The Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator is responsible facilitating recreational programs, primarily for residents in Assisted Living and the Terrace. About the Position
As the Assisted Living Manager/Administrator, you will be primarily responsible for providing leadership for the day-to-day operations of Assisted Living, ensuring regulatory compliance and adequate staffing, in accordance with budget and needs of residents, supervision of AL team members and oversight of resident care and quality of life and engagement. Provide direct leadership and creative influence over a scratch kitchen by preparing up to 1,000 meals a day for residents at all levels of care as well as fellow team members and distinguished guests. The successful candidate will report directly to the Executive Chef, and be responsible for managing and training a team of 60 cooks, enforcing and documenting established standards of safety, sanitation, consistency, and quality.
Responsibilities
* Assists with planning regular and modified menus according to established guidelines.
* Assists in trainings kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, operation of equipment, food safety and sanitation.
* Establishes and maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage and work areas. Ensures that kitchen staff follows and completes schedules as assigned.
* Maintains inventory of food and non-food supplies to stay within established guidelines while assuring that necessary product is available when needed.
* Makes all decisions regarding utilization of leftover food products staying within guidelines for such products.
* Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures as evidenced through local health department and third-party audits.
* Adheres to facility confidentiality, HIPAA and patient rights policies.
* Follows the facility's protocols for Hazardous Materials and Waste Program.
* Adheres to Emergency Preparedness Program. Participates in disaster drills as appropriate.
* Projects and practices consistent ownership attributes, which provide a high level of customer service at all points of contact.
* Interviews candidates for employment and makes hiring and termination decisions after consultation with Human Resources and DS Director.
* Mentors and assists employees with personal growth, training, and job skills.
* Delegates responsibilities to employees adequately to ensure effective and appropriate accomplishments of tasks as needed.
* Encourages feedback from, maintains relations with, and monitors commitment of providing highest quality service to customers including residents, internal customers, and partners/suppliers.
Qualifications
* High School graduate or equivalent required.
* Three years food service experience preferred; minimum of one year required.
* At least three yeas supervisory experience preferred.
* Holds current Serve Safe Food Service Sanitation Certificate.
* Good communication skills required.

About the Position
At Goodwin Living, Health Care and Assisted Living Servers are responsible for the overall operation and sanitation of the tray area including preparing, assembling, and delivering trays.
We are looking for someone who can work 4pm-7:30pm 4-5 days a week. You should have weekend and holiday availability.

Job Duties:
* Portions food items according to menu and stores according to proper storage guidelines.
* Sets up household area with supplies for meal service and monitors supplies to ensure adequate availability.
* Verifies temperature of food items prior to food service and periodically checks temperature to ensure compliance of standards; promptly notifies supervisor on duty of all discrepancies; monitors food quality.
* Heats plates to be served and places properly in serving areas.
* Delivers and collects trays and plates from residents according to schedule.

* Labels and dates unused food products clearly and according to department guidelines.

About the Position
This position is primarily responsible for providing clinical social work services to residents of Assisted Living and The Terrace (memory support) and their families to promote general social and emotional well-being. * Interviews potential Assisted Living residents from GHBC and the community to complete a social history and cognitive assessment in determining level of care.

* Accomplishes certification by the Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) to participate in the completion of the Universal Assessment Instrument (UAI) and development of the Individualized Service Plan (ISP).
* Participates in the weekly interdisciplinary team meeting and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to assist with Assisted Living admission, transfer and discharge planning.
* Provides quality resident care by coordinating and facilitating conferences with families/powers of attorney and other interested parties to address problems of adjustment, treatment, and caregiving concerns.
Job Requirements
* An MSW degree from an accredited university; prefer a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW).
* Must possess computer skills; prefer experience with electronic medical records.
* Prefer to have at least three (3) years experience in social work with at least one (1) year in work with the geriatric population.

About the Position
Reporting to the Associate Executive Director at GHA, the Transportation Manager is responsible for leading the transportation function across Goodwin Living (GL) to include managing a team of drivers and working with various departments to coordinate and schedule all transportation requests across the campuses. Maintains efficiency and safety of a fleet of vehicles, plans the routes, and schedules the drivers. Complies with regulations governing vehicle safety, environmental controls on fuel emissions, driver hours, requirements, and hygiene. Estimates passengers or quantities and types of goods needing to be moved, plans transport schedules, and timetables. Works with leadership to manage challenging situations, such as severe weather, breakdowns, accidents, security alerts, or traffic.
Key Duties
* Manage a team of drivers across multiple locations.
* Establish and coordinate transportation requests for all resident requests.
* Maintain accurate records of all transportation requests, activities, and resident cancellations within 48 hours of request.
* Manage daily schedules of all drivers to support effective coordination of transportation requests.
* Plan daily routes to maximize driver availability and increase resident use when possible.
* Coordinate with nurses for last resort transportation resources including MTS, Alexandria DON Paratransport, Wheelchair taxi and Metro Access with minimum costs when needed.
* Monitor operational processes for continuous improvement related to evaluating workflow procedures, identifying inconsistencies, and revising processing techniques as needed to improve transportation services and maximize productivity.
* Oversee maintenance and upkeep of community vehicles.
Job Requirements
* Minimum of 3-5 years prior team management experience required.
* Valid current driver's license required with insurable driving record. Must have ability to be approved by Goodwin Living's insurance.
* Experience with managing teams across multiple locations highly preferred.
* Prior experience working in a transportation related position preferred.
* Knowledge of capital region roads, specifically locations of hospitals and local doctors or service providers highly preferred.
* Demonstrated customer-centered focus.

Goodwin Living is seeking an exceptional Licensed Nursing Home Administrator to serve as the Executive Director of Forest Hills. Forest Hills provides 106 apartments, with 51 dedicated to assisting living and dementia care, and 55 dedicated to skilled nursing and long-term care.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Forest Hills Executive Director plays a lead role in setting goals, designing the operational vision for excellence and innovation, aligning systems for maximum effectiveness in service delivery, and developing talent to achieve these goals.

Responsibilities:
Resident Satisfaction and Quality of Life
* Ensures that services provided are consistent with the Resident Agreement, mission-focused and consistent with the organization's values.
* Maintains and enhances resident relations, meeting with the Resident Council and various resident committees
* Monitors internal and external environment, constantly evaluating programs, goals and services to ensure the needs of the residents and the operational requirements of the organization are being met.
Team Member Satisfaction & Performance
* Maintains open lines of communication with team members, monitors and surveys team member satisfaction, and develops appropriate action plans to address opportunities for improvement.
* Has overall responsibility of each department. Ensures compliance with corporate polices, organizational standards and procedures and regulatory compliance, and evaluating the performance of team members, recommending, and implementing personnel actions.
Regulatory Compliance
* Monitors and ensures regulatory compliance with all state, federal and other governing agencies.
* Serves as a back-up licensed Administrator of Record for Assisted Living & Memory Care Neighborhood
* Serves as a back-up Administrator of Record for the Nursing Care Neighborhood
Financial Performance
* Develops, manages and monitors operating and capital budgets for Forest Hills and corporate programs under span of responsibility. Coordinates with COO and CFO, and department heads on significant changes, improvements, and/or modifications in major capital expenditures, programs or services, personnel, staffing and operating structure.
* Leads the annual operating and capital budget development process for TVA; coordinates with COO, CFO and department heads to develop annual operating and capital budgets.
* Monitors and assures financial well-being of Forest Hills, achieves agreed-upon financial targets and goals and communicates results to residents, management team and team members.
Operational Excellence/Strategic Planning
* Assists with the development of and provides responsibility for the implementation of the organization's mission, philosophy, values, and goals.
* Assists with the development of corporate policies and goals, ensures the understanding of such by residents and team member.

About this Position:
Position is primarily responsible for the cleanliness and attractiveness of public areas of the facilities and sanitation of the Nursing Unit. Position is also responsible for assisting in set-up procedures for activities and maintenance of floors in public area. Job Duties:
* Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules. Clean assigned areas of the building, including carpeted, slick floor, and walkways.
* Provide slick floor services, such as stripping, waxing, spray buffing, sweeping, and mopping, to include proper edging on all floor surfaces.
* Use carpet cleaning machine on all carpeted floor, in a safe and efficient manner, clean all carpet, used carpet extractor on all carpets as scheduled.

About the Position
The Scheduling Coordinator is primarily responsible for assisting Administrator and Director of Clinical Services with the maintenance of H&W staffing (24 hours) and any related duties pertaining to H&W personnel, to prepare payroll records and perform Administrative Assistant duties for the H&W department.
Key Duties
* Prepares schedules for the Nurses, Registered Medication Aides (RMAs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) on all shifts for the Small House Health Care Center, Assisted Living and the Clinic. Keep leadership informed of staffing and overtime trends, making recommendations for ongoing improvement.
* Maintains daily analysis of the H&W Department staffing needs, arranges 24-hour coverage for all three shifts, and posts a notice of available shifts, utilizing regular staff and PRN staff.
* Adjusts monthly schedules posted for RNs, LPNs, RMAs and CNAs to cover for unexpected absences due to illness, emergencies, etc.
* Centralize payroll coordination across health and wellness including timecard review and approval, time off requests. Escalate special requests and issues to leadership or human resources as appropriate.
* Coordinate annual evaluations for all team members. Leads the timely submission of payroll and HR process forms, e.g., Personnel Action Request Forms (PARFs), status change memos, etc.
* Reports to Administrator or designee when the need arises for additional or replacement personnel.
* Confers with and assists employees with scheduling problems related to work; serves as liaison between employees and the Administrator and refers employees to the Administrator as needed.
* Performs general clerical duties relative to employment activities.
* Assisted with training for H&W team members as needed.
* Maintains a sick leave/PTO log to ensure that leave requests are appropriate. . Monitors PTO and sick leave balances.
* Assists with medical supply and equipment requests as needed. Train team members on medical supply charge system. Monitors compliance and retrains as needed.
* Assists in inclement weather to contact staff for their availability in order to meet staffing requirements.
* Assist with technical programs, systems (nurse call system), and hardware (e.g., printers) to identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
* Manage position-based journal (PBJ) reporting which impacts CMS Staffing Start rating. Ensure accurate and timely submission of reports. Check for compliance with CMS requirements. Coordinates PBJ back-up coverage with the Admissions Case Manager when necessary.
* Troubleshoot the Palcare nurse call system in the Small House HCC in collaboration with the Administrator. Ensure server is functioning properly, trains team members as needed.
* Authorizes office supplies for all Health & Wellness departments, staying within budgetary guidelines. Research and resolve variances or discrepancies. Track labor hours and variances.
Job Requirements
* Must be a High School graduate or have attained the equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
* Previous experience preferred in payroll, accounting and staffing.
* Certified Nursing Assistant license highly preferred.
* Valid First Aid/CPR instructor license preferred.
* Must be able to deal tactfully and effectively with staff members using good communication skills as required.
* Must also have prior working knowledge of computerized payroll and accounting systems.
* Must be organized, flexible, pay attention to detail, and work well under pressure.
* Must have solid proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, e.g., Word, Excel, Teams, etc.

About the Position
The Director of Nursing and Operations (Registered Nurse) provides executive leadership and operational oversight for Goodwin Home Health. * Oversee the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program, ensuring measurable goals, performance indicators, and outcomes are achieved and reported quarterly.
* Implement policies and procedures that promote patient safety, infection control, and quality of care.
* Ensure timely and accurate submission of OASIS and HHCAHPS data.
* Safeguard HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality in all agency operations.
Operational & Financial Management
* Oversee all day-to-day operations of the agency, ensuring effectiveness, efficiency, and alignment with organizational objectives.
* Monitor and interpret financial performance metrics; identify opportunities to improve profitability while maintaining high-quality care.
* Support accurate and compliant billing practices; collaborate with finance to resolve denials, appeals, and payer issues.
* Partner with Human Resources and Finance on recruitment, compensation, performance management, and payroll accuracy.
* Manage administrative and clinical resources to ensure appropriate staffing levels and service delivery.
Clinical Staff & Supervision
* Supervise and support the Director of Clinical Services to ensure safe, efficient, and person-centered care delivery.
* Lead the hiring, training, evaluation, and professional development of qualified staff in partnership with HR.
* Ensure staff competency, licensure, and credentialing are verified and maintained according to policy.
* Oversee onboarding and orientation programs for all new employees, ensuring regulatory and organizational standards are met.
* Support the development of a high-performing, collaborative culture built on accountability, empathy, and respect.
Communication & Collaboration
* Provide quarterly reports to the VP on quality outcomes, incidents, infection control, and grievances.
* Serve as an active member of the Leadership and QAPI Teams, contributing to system-wide goals and integration.
* Collaborate with the Director of Community-Based Growth and internal referral partners to maintain strong physician, hospital, and community relationships.
* Communicate effectively across departments to ensure coordinated care for residents and community clients.
Job Requirements
* Current and active professional license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in VA or compact state preferred.
* Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a health-related field strongly preferred.
* Minimum of three (3) years of management experience in Home Health or a closely related health care field.
* Demonstrated knowledge of Home Health operations, OASIS documentation, payer requirements, and regulatory standards.
* Strong analytical, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Ability to exercise independent judgment, solve complex problems, and maintain composure under pressure.
* Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of insurance required
