Position Summary: This position is responsible for daily grounds/irrigation maintenance, customer yard damage repairs, and assists with facilities tasks when needed. This position may at times be required to be on standby, as scheduled, to work irregular and overtime hours and respond to callouts when needed.
Position Responsibilities
Ability to perform daily grounds and irrigation maintenance to include:
Trimming of shrubs, bushes, and tree branches.
Plant trees and shrub fertilization.
Repair of irrigation piping; cleaning of irrigation systems.
Irrigation sprinkler replacement.
Working knowledge of all types of grounds keeping equipment/trimmers, edgers, mowers, sod cutters, and hand tools.
Perform customer yard damage repairs as needed to restore grass, mailboxes, fences, etc., plant/flower replacement, and replace landscape materials.
Assist in hazardous/non-hazardous oil-spill cleanups and respond to after-hours work needs for emergencies.
Operate cars, trucks, backhoe, lawn equipment & dump truck.
Responsible for the performance of assigned work in accordance with LCEC standards and practices.
Maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels within LCEC. Ensure smooth operations, productive communications, and effective understanding during all interpersonal contacts. Provide current and accurate information to all requesters, courteously and in a timely manner.
Support Storm Restoration efforts when needed. Work in emergency storm situations (i.e. hurricanes) and work long hours (>12 hours per day) for many continuous days/weeks as needed.

Education
High School Diploma or equivalent. (Required)
Experience
2+ Years' experience in all phases of landscape maintenance and repairs, all types of landscape equipment, and irrigation operation/repairs. (Required)
2+ Years' experience in oil spill cleanup and restoration repairs to damaged property. (Preferred)

Machine Setup: Prepare and set up the UV print machine by loading the appropriate inks, calibrating the print heads, and adjusting machine settings to match the printing requirements.
