Responsible for the effective movement and storage of materials throughout the plant with powered equipment and other devices.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibility 1
Ensure all manufacturing equipment areas are fully stocked with raw or work-in-process materials to efficiently run production.
Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers and trucks as necessary.
Stage outgoing shipments.
Inspect inbound material for BOL accuracy.
Document received BOL in the receiving logbook as needed.
Responsibility 2
Ensure forklift is fully safe to operate by filling out the forklift safety check sheet at the start of each shift; immediately report any and all damage to assigned equipment
Maintain assigned equipment (blow out radiators, remove all trash at the end of the shift).
Return equipment to assigned parking areas.
Rotate and FIFO inventory.
Purge production lines of materials as needed; empty waste and scrap bins.
Responsibility 3
Assist with the movement of equipment as needed for tool changes.
Ensure production lines are set up and ready for production after tool changes.
Escalate material issues and part shortages to the supervisor.
Responsibility 4
Maintain good housekeeping in work areas and throughout the plant.
Ensure trash compactors and open tops are used and not overfilled.
Keep docks inside and out clean from trash and debris.
Qualifications and Training:
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Prior experience in material handling, warehouse, or logistics roles is an advantage.
Preferred to have one (1) year of forklift experience with valid forklift licenses and driver's licenses -or- must pass MIOSHA Equipment Operator Permit for Powered Industrial Trucks.
Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
Requirements

As a Van Delivery Driver you will be responsible for courteous, on-time, and accurate deliveries of products with a variable daily route. This role will operate the van in a professional and safe manner demonstrating attention to detail and safe work habits. Additional assistance with store operations before or after completion of route.
What does a day to day look like?
Delivery:
Accurately locates and picks orders in-store for Wholesale customers
Builds and maintains good customer relationships.
Keep our customer happy with accurate, timely, deliveries of GFS products.
Performs daily pre/post trip inspection of vehicle and equipment.
In Store:
Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer purchases through the point of sale. Ensure security of assets including cash, checks, and merchandise by following policies and procedures.
Accurately receive and merchandise products, ensuring proper rotation and product quality, end cap and planogram execution, top stock, freezer, cooler and backroom organization.

Act as a liaison among AVI's Headquarters Service Center, the branch location and customers
Create financial projections and plans
Work closely with sales and dining teams to develop and retain new and existing accounts
Support company programs and branch goals
Address customer inquiries/complaints within 24 hours
Review reports from supervisors and managers regarding profitability at accounts
Conduct monthly team member training and weekly team meetings
Participate in community and trade events to enhance business associations
Develop, in conjunction with the Regional Director, in-house promotional activities
Develop succession plans
Requirements:
At least 3-5 years experience in a management role
Previous experience in vending/foodservice is preferred
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
Outgoing personality and ability to communicate with all levels within AVI, as well as external entities
