Gordon Food Service takes pride in delivering seamless order processing and delivery to our customers, and our warehouse staff is the backbone of our success. As a freight handler, you'll support our team by safely removing pallets of product from the trailer and breaking down the product for the correct pallet configuration. You will also separate inbound freight by item code onto good pallets, ensure that damaged product is properly accounted for and not received into the warehouse for sale inventory, and account for the structural integrity of pallets. There's no experience required - we'll train you how to get the job done!

Essential Functions:
Serve as the liaison/HSE business partner between various teams and the division. Understand the business.
Support the division by providing guidance and technical expertise to ensure continuous compliance with all relevant regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
Oversee or participate in various events including training, wellness, orientation, and other division HR events.
Educate leadership on safety best practices, provide data-driven insights on safety metrics, and coach employees and managers on safety, practice, or policy issues. Respond to and investigate complaints.
Promote and educate on Gordon Food Service safety initiatives. Facilitate training and monitor required safety training and development for completion.
Manage all aspects of environmental compliance, including permits and regulatory reporting.
Interface with regulatory bodies and stay informed about changes in regulations.
Develop and implement HSE programs tailored to the division's needs.
Analyze data to identify trends and managerial root causes, making data-driven recommendations for process improvements.
This position works with limited supervision and is responsible for instructing and checking the work of others.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Excellent communication, presentation skills, and problem-solving skills.
Thorough understanding of GFS culture, policies, and employment-related laws and regulations.
Knowledge of current trends and developments in the field.

Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational/Environmental Health & Safety or a related field (required).
Advanced degree (preferred).
Minimum of eight years of direct experience with standard HSE concepts and practices.
Extensive OSHA/EPA/DOT knowledge (required).
30-hour OSHA training (required).
Valid, unrestricted State Driver's License (required).
First Aid / AED / CPR Certification (required).
Process Safety Management and Arc Flash Certification (required).
CSP or other HSE certifications (preferred).
Smith System Certification (preferred).

Position Summary:
The Finance Division Lead directs, develops, plans and evaluates Gordon Food Service financial plans and policies in budget, financial analysis and corporate planning for assigned divisions. Provides financial insight and decision support for the divisional leadership team on all financial and operational matters, including but not limited to evaluating customer profitability, analyzing sales and margin results, and reviewing operational efficiencies / expense trends.
What you will do:
Provides financial leadership to assigned division; develops financial acumen of the divisional leadership and their teams
Creates profitability and predictive models based on sales input and evaluates post-onboarding customer profitability via lookback reviews and implementation of action steps
Leads and facilitates the LRP/AOP/Forecast processes for the division
Performs month-end review process, including:
Leading month-end presentations for senior teams
Preparing and inputting month-end comments into financial reporting
Reviewing expense results and trends with operational leadership
Prepares sales, margin, and cost input for the re-forecast process.
Analyzes and provides insights on the behavior of various sales, margin, product loss, expense, and inventory accounts
Collaborates and partners with Home Office Operational Finance team, leveraging this group for reporting, analytics, and best practices to be utilized and shared across the business unit while avoiding duplication of efforts
Leads and participates in action teams/councils, key strategic initiatives and special projects. Analyzes and makes recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.
Supports capital process by compiling data for capital requests and assisting with capital investment impact analysis.
Participates in divisional leadership team meetings and leads financial reviews with the team
Provides key financial and operational information to assist divisional leadership in decision making
Mentors analysts within the team or divisional team members to support their development and/or financial acumen
Performs other duties as assigned.

Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Hybrid Work Schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day from home.
What you'll bring to the table:
Four or more years of full-time related work experience post high school or CPA/CMA plus 2 or more years of related work experience.
Requires Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related.
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
Must have knowledge of general ledger accounting, cost accounting and analysis, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and internal control analysis and implementation. Experience manipulating large amounts of data.
Knowledge of general accounting cycle, with ability to journalize and reconcile activity that flows through the trial balance. Ability to recognize inaccurate coding, and the ability to understand AP, AR, Payroll, inventory processes. Has great ability to problem solve with accuracy and thoroughness.

Role Purpose
The Baler Operator position is responsible for operating baling equipment, maintaining cleanliness in the production area, handling recyclable materials, and supporting general labor needs throughout the facility. To ensure efficient, safe, and continuous operation of baling equipment while supporting facility cleanliness, assisting material handlers, and performing general labor tasks. This role is essential to maintaining workflow, managing recyclable materials, and contributing to a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibility 1
Operate baler machines to compress and bind recyclable materials such as cardboard plastic, scrap metal, etc. Monitor machine performance and perform routine equipment checks and notify maintenance personnel as needed.
Monitor the baler to prevent jams or mechanical issues.
Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on the baler.
Responsibility 2
Sort, load, and unload materials in a safe and efficient manner.
Remove finished bales, tag them, and prepare them for transport
Feed recyclable or waste material into the baler.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Responsibility 3
Assist with general labor tasks including material handling, sweeping, and organizing inventory.
Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures. Follow all LOTO procedures.
Accurately complete logs, forms, and documentation as required.
Record material weights, quantities, or other production data.
Responsibility 4
Ensure all manufacturing equipment areas are fully stocked with raw or work-in-process materials to efficiently run production.
Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers and trucks as necessary.
Stage outgoing shipments.
Inspect inbound material for BOL accuracy.
Document received BOL in the receiving logbook as needed.
Purge production lines of materials as needed; empty waste and scrap bins.
Ensure forklift is fully safe to operate by filling out the forklift safety check sheet at the start of each shift; immediately report any and all damage to assigned equipment.
Ensure trash compactors and open tops are used and not overfilled.
Keep docks inside and out clean from trash and debris.
Qualifications and Training:
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Prior experience is an advantage.
Preferred to have one (1) year of forklift experience with valid forklift licenses and driver's licenses -or- must pass MIOSHA Equipment Operator Permit for Powered Industrial Trucks.
Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
Requirements
Work is typically performed in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
May require working in varying temperatures depending on type of materials handled.
Ability to move materials in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
Ability to bend, stoop, sit, and stand for extended periods.
The role requires the use of material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory management.
Basic communication skills for reporting, teamwork and coordination.

Ensures consistent and relevant product, culinary, and business solution training for sales and specialist teams.
Determines and appropriately manages the budget and expenses of the customer support team in the assigned region.
Manages a team of divisional customer-facing specialist(s). May interview, hire, train, and retain staff. Conducts performance monitoring of staff, initiating follow through with disciplinary action and termination in consultation with Human Resources when appropriate for the department. Mentors, motivates, and develops staff and acts as a role model and resource to them. Develops succession plans.
Performs other duties as assigned.
When you will work:
Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Hybrid Work Schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day from home.
What you will bring to the table:
High School Education required.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field preferred plus 5 years previous marketing and/or food service sales experience -or- 8 years previous marketing and/or food service sales experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
Must maintain a valid, unrestricted state driver's license and safe driving record per GFS policy.
Excellent customer service, mentoring, interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be able to develop, refine, communicate, and implement plans and to set and define goals.
Must maintain knowledge of industry trends and be able to provide training on the technical aspects of commercial or non-commercial segments.
Must have industry and segment knowledge and be able to analyze and interpret data.
Must have good time management, administration, and organizational skills.
Must be able to build relationships, network, influence, and link resources to plan and execute business practices.
Must have the ability to multitask and be able to work exceptional hours including evenings and weekends
Be willing to take on new responsibilities with a strong desire to succeed.
Develops solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives

As part of the leadership team, you will make an impact by:
Opening and closing the Store
Help complete daily Store operations and tasks for the day
Assists in unloading all merchandise from delivery trucks, organizes merchandise, and transfers merchandise from stockroom to store.
Maintaining merchandise - product rotation, proper food handling, receiving, ensure product quality
Providing exceptional customer service - building relationships, problem-solving, and building sales
Cash handling - bank deposits, getting change for cashiers, setting and counting down registers
Helping to build and train the team! Develop leadership skills while aiding in supervising sales associates in the performance of their assigned duties
If this sounds like you, make sure you also meet these requirements:
Have 1-2 years of retail experience with progressively increasing responsibility
Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs with frequent lifting above shoulder height
Schedule Availability: Ability to work flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends and holidays
Ability to safely operate power equipment, such as slicing equipment, walkie lifts and forklifts where applicable
This job may require you to occasionally respond to alarm calls during non-working hours and have the flexibility to work shifts at other stores in your local geographic area
You must be a minimum of 18 years old (required)
High School Diploma / Equivalent

Basic computer skills will be required

Duties & Responsibilities:
Assemble and fill orders to be shipped
Receive products coming into the warehouse
Verify quantity and description of products
Maintain accurate physical inventories
Communicate any issues of concern to management (i.e. cleanliness, safety concerns, or security concerns)
Lift, carry or otherwise move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
Move, walk, bend, reach, and grasp on a regular basis while loading trays with food products
Stock inventory
Comply with all AVI policies and procedures, including but not limited to security procedures
Follow all safety and security procedures without deviation
Requirements:
