Position: Full-Time Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Salary: $180,000 - $210,000 per year
We are hiring an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner to support a busy outpatient clinic in Los Angeles. In this role, you will see walk-in and same-day patients, perform focused assessments, make timely treatment decisions, and help keep patient flow moving smoothly throughout the day. This is a weekday position with consistent hours and a strong clinical support team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive and problem-focused assessments for urgent care patients across the lifespan
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs, X-rays, and EKGs
Diagnose and manage common acute conditions such as minor injuries, infections, respiratory issues, and GI complaints
Perform basic procedures (e.g., suturing, I&D, splinting, wound care) within scope
Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to coordinate patient care
Document all encounters accurately and in a timely manner within the EMR
Provide clear discharge instructions, follow-up plans, and patient education
Requirements
Master's or Doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program
Current NP license in the state of California
National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP, AGNP, or equivalent)
Active DEA license or eligibility to obtain
At least 1-2 years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a similar fast-paced setting strongly preferred
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Comfortable working independently within a collaborative team model
