Job Description:
The Judicial Branch is a state-funded Branch of Government that offers medical/dental/vision, $20,000 free basic life insurance, state-matched 156% retirement plan, 13 paid holidays, earned paid vacation and sick leave, and more.
This classification level is responsible for providing case management and supervision of high-risk individuals who are entered into the Problem-Solving Court program, post-release supervision or other high-risk adult and juvenile probationers for specialized cases including sex offenders, domestic violence offenders and drug offences. Responsibilities may include: performing pre-sentence investigations; classification and clinical assessments for PSC participants to identify needs; developing case plan to track and manage goals; working with treatment providers within the community; investigating violations and discussing sanctions; conducting cognitive group therapy meetings; conducting and monitoring drug tests; preparing and submitting probationer progress reports; performing field and home visits for assessment and reassessment. Cases assignments based on rotation and supervisor assignment (for PSCs).
Job Duties
1. Investigates, monitors and or supervises targeted, program-specific high-risk individuals on probation, post-release supervision and/or involved in a Problem-Solving Court adult and juvenile offenders.
2. Performs counseling, case management, case reporting, and related functions of managing a caseload under close supervision.
3. Develops a team supervision approach with the individual's referral source (probation officer who conducted the PSI, Navigation Officer, Problem Solving Court Team, County Jail staff, Prison Caseworker.
4. Participates in the treatment process of individuals and is engaged in the probationer's/participant's treatment through regular and on-going communication with treatment providers and through attendance at treatment groups and facilities. Assists in the development of relapse prevention plan.
5. Facilitates groups which may include, but not be limited to, topical, supervision groups, cognitive programs or skill building, life skills enhancement and general education of clients.
6. Prepares violation reports, compliance reports and conducts record checks; Enters and updates client information into appropriate systems; determines reports to send to the court for updates.

Therapist, I-IV Job Type Full-Time
A Therapist provides integrated therapeutic and educational services and support to individuals, groups, and families. The position will assess, screen, and connect participants with appropriate levels of care in an outpatient setting.
Job Duties:
Provide mental health and/or substance use assessments, treatment interventions, and counseling to individuals, couples, and families to impact changes leading to growth and healing.
Assist clients in identifying natural support and community resources to ensure stabilization.
Maintain programmatic direct service unit expectations.
Build and maintain a caseload and/or referral base.
Create and continuously review and update program participant symptoms and behaviors and adjust treatment/program and safety plan and required documentation accordingly.
Design and deliver educational/therapeutic workshops/groups, classes, or programs to meet the identified needs of groups including but not limited to Substance use groups, social/coping skills groups, DBT groups, parenting skills groups, etc.
Provide behavioral health consultation (collaborate and coordinate multi-disciplinary team-based care with other LFS programs, outside agencies, and medical health homes).
Provide on-call services on a rotational basis as required by the program.
Maintain accurate, written clinical records of services provided per established agency, COA, HIPAA, and CCBHC standards. Complete documentation within established timeframes, including collecting appropriate signatures, registration forms, etc. Sign off, discharge per program plan.
Timely completion of any provider enrollment forms and reports needed for third-party payers or other outside entities.
Provide clinical support to practicum/internship students or less experienced therapists as needed.
Provide consultation for churches, schools, organizations, and communities in areas related to behavioral health and family life.
Develop a positive working relationship with area agencies, including but not limited to, County Boards of Mental Health, Probation, Diversion, State Criminal Justice System, and DHHS.
Assist in the promotion of agency mission, services, workshops, and classes.

Education and Experience:
Master's degree from an accredited university in a human service program which provided preparation for professional counseling.
Bilingual language skills preferred.
Valid Nebraska Driver's license, proof of liability insurance, and ability to drive for work.
Demonstrated skills and competencies to work with individuals with a variety of behavioral health, including but not limited to persons of diverse cultural backgrounds.
Obtain and maintain appropriate licensure within a reasonable timeframe (see licensing requirements below).

One provisional license - Mental Health Professional (PLMHP) or Provisional Certified Master Social Worker (PCMSW) required; will consider PLADC.
Therapist II
Two provisional licenses - Mental Health Professional (PLMHP), Provisional Certified Master Social Worker (PCMSW), Provisional Alcohol and Drug Counselor (PLADC) required. OR fully licensed with one of the following: LMHP, LADC, or LCSW
Therapist III
Fully licensed with a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP), Certified Master in Social Work (CMSW) / Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and/or Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LADC) required, plus one additional license of the following: Provisional Certified Master Social Worker (PCMSW), Provisional Alcohol and Drug Counselor (PLADC), Provisional Certified Master Social Worker (PCMSW), etc.
Therapist IV
Fully licensed with one independent license preferred (Licensed Independent Mental Health Professional (LIMHP) and/or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). Fully licensed with 5 years of experience and two full licenses required (Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and/or Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LADC))

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
A hybrid work environment with a laptop (office and field setting, including zoom/telehealth, office locations, and/or in-home).
Reliable transportation (work-related travel between sites as needed).
Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, or on-call or as needed for client care, program demand, and supervisor request.
Occasional lifting of office items no more than twenty-five pounds.
