This role is vital in ensuring a safe and compliant workplace, while fostering a culture of care and accountability across all job sites. This position will require frequent daily travel within the Bay Area market which includes San Jose, Palo Alto, and Hayward. What You'll Do Plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations Handles Worker's Compensation claims, writes reports and submits to the insurance carrier Writes automobile accident reports, consults with management for disposition and/or referral to the insurance carrier and compiles and submits accident reports required by regulatory agencies Maintains constant contact with the adjusters to manage and control Worker's Compensation claims and automobile claims Maintains an Accident Log and remits monthly reports to Corporate and Branch management Plans and implements programs to train managers and employees in work site safety practices, fire prevention, and correct handling techniques for chemicals, toxins, equipment, and other materials. Conducts safety training classes and new hire orientation to company employees. Inspects organization facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented Provides information, signs, posters, barriers, and other materials to warn of potential and actual safety hazards and to prevent access to hazardous conditions. The role will also include small site upgrades and irrigation related activities to be performed independently or with the maintenance teams to ensure 12-48-hour turnaround time on all small client requests or site needs. Our Landscape Construction branch in Riverside, CA is looking for an experienced Models Superintendent to partner with our field personnel and enhance our construction projects. Highlights of what our Models Superintendent will do: Manages multiple projects simultaneously by effectively providing technical guidance and managing field personnel. Organizes, supervises, leads, and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and time frames. Communicates material, equipment and personnel needs to management in a timely manner. Coordinates with subcontractors and vendors. Conduct percent of completion analysis to ensure projects are on budget. Provide support for the Operations team by determining production schedules. Understand client needs and identify cost effective enhancements and change orders to ensure profitability. Other tasks and duties as assigned by management.
