These positions include: athletics media relations, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, tennis, and track, and field. The primary responsibilities will be to assist the head coach in all facets of the program, including the recruitment of quality student-athletes, organization and planning of practices, game preparation, administrative duties, scouting, and monitoring of student-athlete academic progress.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and admission into the graduate program is required. Experience as an intercollegiate athlete or coach, a valid driver's license, and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations are required. AED/CPR certification prior to employment is also required.
Each of the assistantships includes tuition remission and a stipend. The positions are 10-month appointments that are renewable for a second year. What You'll Do
- Attend Top 17 College Basketball conferences in person and provide real-time coverage by reporting live action directly from the venue using the Capture Tool software on your mobile phone.
- Accurate and timely updates on match events, scores, and other relevant details.
- Conduct pre-match reporting duties, including verifying match times, formats, and any other necessary information.
- Generate post-match reports that highlight any issues related to capturing scores or other observations.
- Submit expenses information promptly for reimbursement.
- Maintain communication regarding your availability for future event coverage.
- Successful completion of comprehensive training before live game reporting (usually 5 to 10 hours), with direct mentorship from an experienced trainer.
