Graduateassistants at Elmhurst University may be hired for a full tuition waiver based on 20 hours of service per week. ASSISTANTSHIP SUMMARY

Offers for this position are conditional upon acceptance into one of the above noted graduate programs at Elmhurst University. Graduate students must maintain full-time enrollment in their graduate program in order to maintain a graduateassistantship.
Graduateassistants in the athletic department must possess a commitment and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of Elmhurst University, the CCIW, and the NCAA. They must cooperate with and furnish the NCAA, the CCIW, and/or Elmhurst University with truthful and complete information concerning involvement in or knowledge of rules violations. Any person who is found in violation of NCAA regulations shall be subject to disciplinary or correction actions as set forth in the provisions of the NCAA enforcement procedures, including suspension without pay or termination for significant or repeated violations.
Responsibilities
Aids the Head Coach in the organization and operation of an effective and competitive women's lacrosse program.
Assists the Head Coach in the coordination of recruitment of student-athletes.
Maintains and updates a sufficient inventory of equipment. Oversees the issuing and collecting of all equipment, uniforms, supplies, and materials.
Coordinates all team travel arrangements for the program.
Attends all pre-season conditioning and non-traditional season practices for the Women's Lacrosse Program. Attends and participates in all team planning sessions with coaching staff.
Aids in the planning, organizing, and executing of all in-season practice sessions for Women's Lacrosse.
Conducts on-field coaching during intercollegiate contests as set by the Head Coach.
Develops and carries out fundraising projects when appropriate.
Works closely with the Head Coach and Director of Athletic Communications (DAC) pertaining to all media relations. Provides information for the promotional needs of game programs, team media guides, recruiting brochures and other publications.
Responsible for reporting to the media (DAC) all scores, statistics, and game results when competing on the road.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of Elmhurst University, NCAA, CCIW and rules and regulations and adheres to NCAA Compliance Regulations.
Endorses and supports other sports within the Athletic Department as outlined by the Director of Athletics in roles such as transportation or game management assistance.
Endorses and supports other areas within Student Affairs including attendance at all meetings.
Interacts with all other University constituencies and actively participates in their events.

Community Development

Develop intentional assessment practices to address the needs of each community and create action steps to meet those intended outcomes
Execute a community development plan for the residential area focused on the learning, growth, and development of students
Housing Operations and Administrative Responsibilities
Coordinate day-to-day operations of the residential area and department such as occupancy, facilities management, hall opening and closing, room selection, conduct issues, and the housing reassignment process
Manage efficient and accurate operational reports and communicate regularly with necessary offices
Assist the Director of Residence Life in identifying and resolving facility issues in a timely fashion and proactively identify opportunities to improve the residential environment
Ensure the observance of all Concordia applicable policies, rules, and regulations as well as the laws of the city, state, and nation

Position Summary: The GraduateAssistant (GA) for Admissions plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations and outreach efforts of the Office of Admissions. Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. The GraduateAssistant will assist with welcoming, greeting, and supporting prospective students and their families during campus visits. Additionally, the individual will help monitor designated email accounts and phone lines, ensuring inquiries are appropriately routed to the relevant enrollment personnel for follow-up.
2. This position will also involve regular use of technology systems such as PeopleSoft and Salesforce. The GraduateAssistant will be responsible for accurate and timely data entry to support enrollment operations, maintaining an organized and up-to-date admissions funnel that helps staff make informed recruitment decisions.
3. The role includes opportunities for off-campus engagement, where the GraduateAssistant will support travel to high schools, community colleges, fairs, and community partner events. During these visits, the GA will represent Benedictine University, share information with prospective students, and actively capture inquiries to help expand the University's reach.
4. The GraduateAssistant will support the Director of Admissions in preparing for and executing on-campus events. This involves collaborating with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure all logistical and operational needs are met, contributing to a seamless and professional event experience for all attendees.

Required Qualifications:

What You Will Do

PART I: SUMMARY OF POSITION
This position is responsible for assisting certified staff with direct instructional support and the general supervision and management of students.
PART II: MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
A. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* Meet ONE of the following four options: 1) Completed 60 semester hours of college credit at a regionally accredited institution of higher education or 2) Obtained an associate's degree (or higher) at a regionally accredited institution of higher education or 3) Met a formal State assessment by ONE of the following means: passed the ETS Para Pro assessment (460 or higher) or passed the applicable ACT Work Keys assessments (Applied Mathematics-4, Reading for Information-4, Writing/Business Writing-3, AND Acceptable on the Instructional Support Inventory which requires observation of an applicant in a classroom setting) or 4) Met State paraprofessional approval PLUS 300 Professional Training Points (PTPs) or passed a rigorous local academic assessment that conforms to federal guidelines. Evidence is ISBE form 77-34.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Joint Class Size Assessment Council (JCSAC) allocates Class-Size Teacher Assistant positions to address oversized classrooms in Priority Schools and other impacted schools. These positions are reviewed annually and concluded at the end of each school year. Under the general direction of the school principal and under the immediate supervision of a teacher holding a valid state certificate directly engaged in teaching subject matter or conducting activities, assists in the instruction of pupils and performs related duties as required.
The Class Size Teacher Assistant will be held accountable for the following responsibilities:
Assists in the supervision of students during lunchroom and playground activities
Provides security functions within the school, such as monitoring corridors and reviewing student identification card
