    The Graduate Assistant Transportation Coordinator guides the development, maintenance, implementation and documentation of the University's shuttle bus system including scheduling, supervision and payroll of university bus drivers. Under the direction of the Chief of Police, work is typically performed with considerable independence and minimal supervision. Additional guidance is received from established policies and procedures, government regulations, and industry best practices. Responsibilities Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education RESPONSIBILITIES: The overall responsibilities of the Graduate Assistant Transportation Coordinator include, but are not limited to: Transportation * Select, hire and train properly licensed drivers for the University shuttle vehicles. * Coordinate the selection, routing, staffing and scheduling of bus routes. * Ensure vehicles comply with applicable Illinois Vehicle Code provisions and University policy. * Conduct regular inspections, manage vehicle maintenance, keep pertinent records and check driver adherence to safety policies. * Respond to requests from the community for shuttle routes. * Conduct needs assessments for additional bus routes and student transportation needs. * Collaborate with other departments to provide transportation services for special events. * Prepare and administer the transportation operating budget including: fuel, maintenance, supplies and salaries. Central Office Duties * Provide administrative support for the LUPD central office in West Hall. * Assist students, faculty and staff with central office services including identification card production, lost and found, parking permit issues and general customer service. General Duties * Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. * Apply logical thinking to solve problems or accomplish tasks; interpret and communicate complex policies, procedures and protocols. * Use tact, discretion, initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines. * Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with various internal and external stakeholders. * Maintain appropriate security and confidentiality of information. * Maintain a working knowledge of the University's available facilities, resources and services. * Participate in meetings, skill development and training as required. * Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree. * Must be a graduate student in good standing in a degree program at Lewis University. * Must possess solid analytic, problem solving and critical thinking skills. * Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Must possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving record. * Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office applications and experience with computerized records management systems. * Ability to acquire and combine computer data and generate reports using computer software, various data sources, and analytical methods; work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail; communicate effectively verbally, in written and electronic formats. Preferred Qualifications * Experience in transportation management or fleet operations. * Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement. Essential Duties Work hours Part-time: minimum of 20 hours per week; year round position Schedule may vary. Work activities are typically in an office environment. Duties may occasionally involve exposure to outdoor inclement weather conditions. May be required to work during weekends, special events, University off-hours or emergency situations. A Flexologist guides every client through a 25 or 50 minute stretch session, using PNF, Static & Dynamic Stretching, making sure the client knows what the stretch is designed to do and how it should feel. The Flexologist will assess the client and point out tightness and imbalance in the body and also recommend what they can do on a daily basis to improve mobility & flexibility. Total compensation will vary due to how many hours you are working with a client (utilization rate). Total hourly compensation is typically between $20-$24, +cash tips. Eligible Graduate Programs: Master of Business Administration, M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology Weekly Hours: 20 Tuition Waiver: Full Stipend: $2,500 stipend in spring semester 2026 ($625 per month between February and May 2026); if renewed for the 2026-2027 academic year, $5,625 ($625 per month between September 2026 and May 2027). POSITION SUMMARY: Aids the head coach in planning, organizing, and evaluating all phases of a competitive intercollegiate football program. Understands the role of NCAA and Division III athletics in the educational process and aids in the recruitment of student-athletes, which will reflect and represent the quality of Elmhurst University. Special Notation: Offers for this position are conditional upon acceptance into one of the above noted graduate programs at Elmhurst University. Graduate students must maintain full-time enrollment in their graduate program in order to maintain a graduate assistantship. Salary Range $2,500 spring semester 2026 stipend; if renewed for the 2026-2027 academic year, $5,625 stipend. Essential Functions * Aids the head coach in the organization and operation of an effective and competitive football program. * Assists the head coach in the coordination of recruitment of student-athletes. * Maintains and updates a sufficient inventory of equipment. Oversees the issuing and collecting of all equipment, uniforms, supplies, and materials. * Coordinates all team travel arrangements for the program. * Attends all pre-season conditioning and non-traditional season practices for the football program. * Attends and participates in all team planning sessions with coaching staff. * Aids in the planning, organizing, and executing of all in-season practice sessions for football. * Conducts on-field coaching during intercollegiate contests as set by the head coach. * Develops and carries out fundraising projects when appropriate. * Works closely with the head coach and Director of Athletic Communications pertaining to all media relations, providing information for the promotional needs of game programs, team media guides, recruiting brochures and other publications. * Responsible for reporting to the media, via the Director of Athletic Communications, all scores, statistics, and game results when competing on the road. * Demonstrates a working knowledge of Elmhurst University, NCAA, CCIW and rules and regulations. * Adheres to NCAA Compliance Regulations. * Endorses and supports other sports within the Athletic Department as outlined by the Director of Athletics in roles such as transportation or game management assistance. * Endorses and supports other areas within Student Affairs including attendance at all meetings. * Interacts with all other University constituencies and actively participates in their events. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements The essential functions of this position are primarily performed in a variety of indoor and outdoor facilities, with regular exposure to varying weather conditions, including extended periods of extreme heat and cold. Work requires frequent districtwide, statewide, and out-of-state travel for recruiting or attending athletic competitions. Required abilities include walking, navigating uneven or slippery surfaces, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods; may require lifting and transporting equipment in excess of 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally; and using fine motor skills to operate and maneuver a range of athletic or training equipment.
