Primary Purpose of the Position:
Appointment Types and Compensation
* A graduateassistant will work no more than twenty (20) hours per week during the academic year when the University is in session.
* A student may not receive an assistantship for more than six (6) semesters.
* A student may not hold more than one assistantship or work more than twenty 20 hours per week.
* Each assistantship will require a graduateassistant to work 100 to 150 total hours per fall/spring or 100 total hours per summer.
* Students who have worked the required hours will receive payment on the last business day of the month as stated in the graduateassistant agreement.
* A full-time state employee may not hold a graduateassistantship.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
To hold a graduateassistantship, a student must:
* Enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours during fall/spring or three (3) credit hours during summer.
* Enrolled at Fayetteville State University in a master's or doctoral program, in good academic standing, and working toward a degree.
* Attend new employee orientation prior to starting assistantship and complete all required employment paperwork with the Human Resources department no later than your first day of employment.
Knowledge skills and abilities:
* Students must be willing to work collaboratively with faculty on projects contributing to the mission and goals of Fayetteville State University.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Students must be willing to assist faculty in planning and implementing class instructions, meetings, i.e. student orientations, lectures, receptions and workshops, etc.
* Students must be willing to assist faculty in conducting evaluations and assessments.

What You'll Be Doing Wake County is hiring a Temporary Budget & Management GraduateAssistant! Assist with Board Work sessions, public hearings, year-end close out, budget upload to the Financial system, contract review, business planning and financial forecasting. There will be significant opportunities to develop analytical, collaboration and problem solving skills; process improvement reviews; financial, personnel and performance reporting; etc.
All interns are invited to attend site tours to learn about diverse County operations, including the animal shelter, fire training center, landfill, EMS, crime scene investigation, Register of Deeds, parks etc.
Prior interns have:
* Facilitated special projects
* Prepared management and discussion analysis for the ACFR
* Conducted analysis to optimize the financial chart of accounts

The Parent and Family Programs (P&F) GraduateAssistant supports professional staff members in planning, implementing and assessing P&F programs and services. The GraduateAssistant(s) work closely on the implementation of major P&F programmatic areas including large-scale parent and family events, including family weekend, homecoming, tailgates, regional outreach events and graduation ceremonies.

PRIMARY PURPOSE/SCOPE The Primary purpose of the GraduateAssistant Women's Volleyball Coach will be the responsibility of assisting in promoting a Track program that is in harmony with the Christian principles of Bluefield University. The GraduateAssistant Women's Volleyball Coach will give direction to the athletes included within the Women's Volleyball program of Bluefield University, while fostering and maintaining fiscal responsibility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND FUNCTIONS
The GraduateAssistant Women's Volleyball Coach is directly responsible to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for the following areas:
1. Teaching/Coaching (50%):
a. Assists in the organization and implementation of practice sessions with student-athletes.
b. Instructs, teaches, and coaches student-athletes on how to perform for Track meets and during practice.
c. Provides tutoring and mentoring of athletes involved in the Track program.
d. Monitors and supervises student-athletes while at practice and while traveling to ensure their conduct is reflective of the mission of the University.
2. Departmental Administration: (15%)
a. Promote a Women's Volleyball program that is in harmony with and supportive of the Institutional mission and philosophy of Bluefield University.

a. Identify, evaluate and recruit potential team members to Bluefield University.
