TYPICAL ACTIVITIES
Typical activities of GraduateAssistants may include: (1) assisting in the instruction of students by conducting small discussion groups related to large lecture, supervising laboratory periods, workshops, or other course activities, assisting by handling equipment, performing demonstrations, maintaining office hours to provide direct individual contact between student and graduateassistant, clarifying course material or course content for students; (2) providing assistance to faculty conducting authorized research by collecting and arranging data, developing source materials, summarizing reports, searching the literature and compiling bibliographies, developing and operating research equipment, preparing and caring for research materials, assisting in the conduct of experiments, etc.; and/or (3) generally assisting faculty in evaluating student work and examinations; preparing course materials and aids, or performing other functions requiring knowledge and background beyond that generally possessed by undergraduate assistants.
Qualified candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty, staff and students across a wide range of disciplines.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and Abilities
: Knowledge of the subject matter of the discipline in which assigned. Ability to relate well to others within the academic environment; ability to supervise, assist, and train students; and ability to assist faculty in the conduct of special projects/research within the discipline.
Experience
: For the initial appointment, evidence of satisfactory achievement in previous academic work. For subsequent appointment, evidence of satisfactory progress toward completion of the degree.
Education
: Equivalent to completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree and registration in a CSU graduate degree program. Students enrolled in credential programs are not eligible for this position.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
BA Degree in hand by time of appointment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Evidence of scholarly activity, publication, and innovation is valued. Evidence of exemplary graduate-level teaching and leadership experience at program level is preferred and should be noted in application.

The Department of Psychology is one of the largest departments at CSUSB, with 26 full-time and 26 part-time faculty, approximately 100 graduate students, and 1400 undergraduate students. The department offers one undergraduate major in Psychology with three formal concentrations - General Psychology, Biological Psychology and Industrial-Organizational Psychology. In addition, the department houses three master's programs: Clinical/Counseling Psychology, Psychological Science, and Industrial-Organizational Psychology. We offer the entire undergraduate major at both the San Bernardino and Palm Desert campuses.

COMPENSATION
All GraduateAssistant appointments are made under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the United Auto Workers. Initial appointments are for one semester only.
Classification Range: $3,090 to $5,783 per month
Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications, not to exceed $3,800

Job Summary:
MFT Graduate Student Trainee will provide comprehensive community-based therapy services to children and their families using standard therapy practices and documentation protocols according to the Department of Mental Health (DMH). The MFT Graduate Student Trainee is responsible for meeting weekly service delivery expectations, carrying a caseload of clients, dependent on service delivery, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records using the electronic health record system, EXYM, for all services rendered, in accordance with State of California and the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. MFT Graduate Student Trainee will be responsible for providing the following services: intake assessment (an extensive bio-psychosocial history, diagnosis, and treatment plan); individual and group psychotherapy; crisis intervention when needed; targeted case management (i.e. linkage to additional support services) as clinically indicated. Students will also participate in a multi-disciplinary team aimed at integration and collaboration.

Conducts in-office and in-school sessions with clients following their initiative in the development and achievement of their case plan goals.
Works collaboratively with clients and the clinical team to develop a comprehensive assessment, treatment plan and desired treatment outcomes.
Participates in staff meetings, case conferences, training, and professional consultation as necessary.
Maintains clients records related to assessment, treatment, progress toward goals and objectives, discharge summary, and treatment outcomes that are accurate, concise, timely, and useful for coordinating treatment team planning, monitoring, and review.
Clinicians are expected to conduct outreach services to facilitate the development of their caseload when caseload does not permit them to meet 225 hours of billable services of care annually, 7 hours per week minimally.
Provides evidenced based interventions and/or MAT based on DMH and C4K guidelines
Attends in-person individual and group supervision at least once a week in the Trainee's home office.
Seeks guidance and remains knowledgeable of, and complies with, all applicable federal and state laws, as well as company policies that apply to assigned duties.
Complies with the companys and Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) expectations regarding ethical behavior and standards of conduct.
Prepares clinical documentation in connection with case requirements such as psycho-social assessments, treatment plans and weekly progress notes.
Must be able to maintain positive working collaborative relationships with family services staff.
Performs other job-related duties as directed by supervisor or director.

POSITION
The Business Honors Program (BH) at College of Business & Economics at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its GraduateAssistant Pool.
Under the direction of the Director some of the responsibilities will be:
Work with the program director to support student recruitment campaign for BH program.
Coordinate recruitment process including tracking candidate applications, arrange interviews, admission decision.
Provide general guidance to BH leadership team and project teams to help them set up loads and execute the initiatives planned by them and their project teams.
Maintain the Business Honors Program Student Lounge to ensure and promote a professional and welcoming environment, including reserving the shared lounge space for club meetings outside of BH.
Monitor the BH general email account.
Lead the student assistant for the program

COMPENSATION
All GraduateAssistant appointments are made under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the United Auto Workers. Initial appointments are for one semester only.
Classification Range: $3,090- $5,783 per month
Anticipated hiring range depending on qualification, not to exceed $3,246.
The full-time monthly base salaries indicated above are prorated to the time base assigned.

JOB SUMMARY
The Speaking Center at JHBC seeks to develop students' oral communication skills. We hire each semester for the positions of graduateassistants (GAs) to serve as communication consultants. Benefits of working with the Center include opportunities to hone public speaking expertise, gain valuable experience as a communication consultant, and help others reach their public speaking goals.
The position entails between 8 and 20 hours of work per week and offers flexible hours (Monday-Saturday 8am-7:30pm), a hybrid work schedule that consists of face-to-face and Zoom consultations, and potential Winter intersession and Summer employment (budget contingent). Consultants will provide quality coaching to develop and polish students' oral communication skills.
TYPICAL ACTIVITIES
1. Complete University-required onboarding processes through CSUSB Human Resources.
2. Attend and participate in the Speaking Center Orientation and bi-weekly team meetings.
3. Provide one-to-one and group consultations on various public speaking and presentation projects, assisting students with idea generation, organization, delivery, and engagement.
4. Develop and deliver communication workshops or guest lectures for students.
5. Visit classrooms (virtually or in person) and introduce the Center to raise students' awareness of this resource.
6. Assist with the development and implementation of the Center's marketing and outreach events and create promotional materials.
7. Maintain a database to track appointments and consultation evaluations.
8. Additional Duties (depending on need, skills, and consultant preferences):

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Speaking Center at JHBC - our goal is to help students across campus refine their skills and excel in public speaking moments both inside the classroom & beyond.
The Speaking Center at JHBC, an innovative interdisciplinary collaboration between Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration (JHBC) and the College of Arts and Letters (CAL), works with both undergraduate and graduate students across campus to help them become more confident and effective public speakers. The Center offers both face-to-face and virtual appointments at which students-either one-on-one or in small groups-can meet with graduate communication consultants to work on issues such as idea generation, mock interviews, specialized assignment assistance, public speaking anxiety management, video recording, presentation development or rehearsal. The Center's interdisciplinary leadership team includes faculty from both the Departments of Communication Studies (Dr. Julie Taylor) and Management (Dr. Maggie Boyraz, Dr. Ying Cheng, and Professor Matthew Habich).
As a team, communication consultants typically support 800-1,100 students per academic year and collaborate with over 50 unique faculty members and courses across campus. Among the many positive comments written by students in the anonymous end-of-appointment survey were the following: “She used her own writing and speaking experiences to create a clear understanding of what I was being asked to do. She also showed me how my response could be applied to other questions my professor listed,” “[consultant] was a huge help. She answered all my questions and even answered some I didn't know I had,” and “Amazing consultants made me feel comfortable and helped me improve a lot.”
Importantly, the Center's pedagogical prowess is based on High-Impact Practices (HIP; individualized consultations) that complement in-class assignments. HIPs help to increase student engagement and retention and reduce DFWI rates, which improves both undergraduate and graduategraduation rates. The Center helps faculty to adopt state of the art teaching methods and support structures. The Center employs undergraduate and graduateassistants as communication consultants who engage in HIPs through their instructional methods. Furthermore, the Speaking Center at JHBC helps support CSUSB's Strategic Plan of Student Success. We engage students in high-impact practices through providing a place for practice and immediate feedback with content experts. As educators, one of our most important missions is to prepare our students to succeed in their chosen professions, and “excellent verbal and written communications” are skills considered essential by most employers. Several recent studies and surveys have found that college graduates are not well prepared in soft skills (for example in oral and written communication and the ability to work as part of a team) after graduating college (i.e. National Association of Colleges and Employers, 2015; Pew Research, 2016). These skills are so critical to our student's career success, and-in some instances-the disparity between our students' incoming level of skill and employers' expectation of proficiency is so wide, that existing coursework is not always sufficient to close the gap.

JOB SUMMARY
The GraduateAssistant in the Watson College of Education Dean's Suite will provide critical support to departments and programs in preparing and maintaining compliance with state documents and information. Responsibilities include utilizing technology skills to perform data entry, digital file management, document design, technology support, program information analysis, reporting, and recruitment. GraduateAssistants will assist departments and programs with compiling and organizing documents, website updates, and supporting program-level reports to ensure the timely submission of required documentation. Job Summary:
MFT Graduate Student Trainee will provide comprehensive community-based therapy services to children and their families using standard therapy practices and documentation protocols according to the Department of Mental Health (DMH). The MFT Graduate Student Trainee is responsible for meeting weekly service delivery expectations, carrying a caseload of clients, dependent on service delivery, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records using the electronic health record system, EXYM, for all services rendered, in accordance with State of California and the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. MFT Graduate Student Trainee will be responsible for providing the following services: intake assessment (an extensive bio-psychosocial history, diagnosis, and treatment plan); individual and group psychotherapy; crisis intervention when needed; targeted case management (i.e. linkage to additional support services) as clinically indicated. Students will also participate in a multi-disciplinary team aimed at integration and collaboration.
Duties
Uphold the mission and core values of Counseling4Kids.
Conducts in-office and in-school sessions with clients following their initiative in the development and achievement of their case plan goals.
Works collaboratively with clients and the clinical team to develop a comprehensive assessment, treatment plan and desired treatment outcomes.
Participates in staff meetings, case conferences, training, and professional consultation as necessary.
Maintains clients' records related to assessment, treatment, progress toward goals and objectives, discharge summary, and treatment outcomes that are accurate, concise, timely, and useful for coordinating treatment team planning, monitoring, and review.
Clinicians are expected to conduct outreach services to facilitate the development of their caseload when caseload does not permit them to meet 225 hours of billable services of care annually, 7 hours per week minimally.
Provides evidenced based interventions and/or MAT based on DMH and C4K guidelines
Attends in-person individual and group supervision at least once a week in the Trainee's home office.
Seeks guidance and remains knowledgeable of, and complies with, all applicable federal and state laws, as well as company policies that apply to assigned duties.
Complies with the company's and Board of Behavioral Sciences' (BBS) expectations regarding ethical behavior and standards of conduct.
Prepares clinical documentation in connection with case requirements such as psycho-social assessments, treatment plans and weekly progress notes.
Must be able to maintain positive working collaborative relationships with family services staff.
Performs other job-related duties as directed by supervisor or director.
Ability to be in-office eight (8) to ten (10) hours per week minimally during the agency's clinical hours and days (M-F) of operation.
Minimum Experience & Education Requirements
Currently pursuing an MFT, MPCC or MA in related field. Be approved for field work/practicum placement by department director.
Must have a reliable automobile for use on the job (mileage will be reimbursed). Valid California Driver License. State required automobile insurance coverage.
Successfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug test and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Ability to nurture respectful relationships with families and children and be sensitive to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
Knowledge of child abuse/crisis intervention techniques.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
TB test clearance (to be renewed every two years).
Preferred Experience Requirements
Bilingual English/Spanish required. English proficiency supporting professional-level verbal and written communication to children, parents and agency staff members required.
Preferred experience working with low-income children and families.
Leadership skills desired with some foundational knowledge of human development and family dynamics.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to remain in a stationary (stand/sit) position at least 50% of the time. This person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, fax machine, and computer printer. Frequently communicates with staff, clients, families and other community organizations and must be able to exchange accurate information in-person, via video conferencing, or over the phone. Frequently will need to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and hear and understand speech on the telephone. Occasionally will need to lift and carry up to 15 pounds. May occasionally require bending, stooping, push/pull, squatting, twisting, turning, and reaching. Considerable walking may be involved.

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office, clinic, home, school, or community environments. Will require frequent travel to the home, school, or community environment. Continuous contact with agency staff and the public. Regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions when out in the community.
