This position report to the Circulation Manager and is a part-time 12-month position (working breaks), 20 hours/week. During the academic year, required hours include Sun 7pm-12midnight, Mon-Thurs 9pm-12midnight and 3 choice hours (preferably consistent throughout a single term). Hours will vary during summer and university breaks.

* Assisting in the training and supervision of undergraduate student assistants. Motivate student assistants to perform assigned duties effectively, including desk activities and stack maintenance. This position will provide basic reference/research assistance as needed and is responsible for closing the library with an undergraduate student/secure the facility.
* Assisting with the processing of materials for our course reserve collection, connecting with faculty/staff regarding new additions to course reserves and future course reserve needs.
* Using university-wide FMX software to schedule library classrooms/other bookable spaces. Create and post signage daily to show what events are happening in each space.
* Exercising discretion, judgment, and providing clear guidance to library users in enforcing library policies and procedures. They are responsible for maintaining an appropriate sound level in building, monitoring the building and reporting any security infractions/problems and/or building maintenance issues to appropriate team members, the Library Director and/or other relevant parties.
* Working as a member of the Public Services team (Circulation and Research Help), assisting with library-wide projects and participating in cross-training, and maintaining open lines of communication with the Public Services team, Library Director, and other library employees.
* Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises undergraduate student workers as assigned.
