Duties and Responsibilities
The intern will support reproductive rights and health internal and external-facing policy and litigation work, which can include:
* Providing legal and factual research and analysis;
* Tracking state and federal legislation and litigation on core and emerging issues;
* Cite checking and bluebooking documents;
* Drafting memos, talking points, testimony, blogs, factsheets, and other written materials;
* Support the preparation of briefs, pleadings, legislative toolkits, and comments on proposed federal agency regulations;
* Participating in coalition meetings, policy briefings, and events; and
* Attending executive and congressional proceedings.
Qualifications:
* Current enrollment in a JD program and ability to receive academic credit for the internship/externship;
* Strong research and writing skills, including excellent analytical, oral, and written communications skills;
* Experience working on gender justice issues with an intersectional lens;
* Experience or interest in an, advocacy, litigation, policymaking, or research environment;

Key Relations

Compensation & Benefits
This internship is unpaid, but the Center will work with the intern to secure academic credit. A stipend of $175 per month, prorated, will be provided if allowed by the student's school. This position is not eligible for benefits.
Classification
This position is not included in the union-represented bargaining unit, NWLC United, affiliated with the Nonprofit Professional Employees Union/IFPTE Local 70.

Responsibilities Duties can include writing news stories for the monthly print issue of the newspaper or for its web version, developing story ideas and attending press conferences and congressional hearings. Interns are responsible for the newspaper's weekly online news quiz and contribute to multiple storytelling platforms. Interns receive valuable experience in newspaper production and distribution. Interns also may work within APHA's Communications Department, assisting with news releases, news tracking and other public relations work, as well as with APHA's social media tools, such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. All APHA interns also work on the Association's Get Ready campaign, writing blog posts and working on group projects each semester.

The Intern supports the department in administrative and clerical matters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Update and maintain Hazard Vulnerability Analysis (HVA) grids for each branch, leveraging local Office of Emergency Management Emergency Action Plans to ensure compliance and readiness.
+ Assess and optimize the process for distributing and collecting Site Safety Checklists, identifying gaps and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
+ Develop and compile standard operating procedures for Health & Safety SNAP workflows to ensure consistency and compliance.
+ Partner with the Health & Safety team to create engaging, informative content that promotes awareness and participation during National Safety Month and National Preparedness Month.
+ Design and deliver visually impactful Health & Safety infographics for 2026, effectively communicating key safety initiatives and reinforcing organizational safety culture.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Currently enrollment in an undergraduate program in applicable major
+ Quick and accurate alpha/numeric data entry skills
+ Computer proficiency, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and Web-enabled applications, required
+ Excellent work ethic and commitment to job responsibilities
+ Must be a self-starter, with ability to work well as part of a team and independently

Your Role
As an Architecture Intern at Gensler, you will join our creative studio environment for a full-time, paid internship program running from Tuesday, June 2 through Friday, August 7, 2026. You must be available to work in person for the entire duration of the program.
What You Will Do
* Work on architecture projects as a fully collaborative member of a design team, participating in design charrettes to help define strategic goals for our clients, large or small.
* Receive hands-on learning and collaborate with designers, architects, directors, and managers to plan, design, develop and gain real-world experience working with clients across a spectrum of industries and locations.
* Enjoy the rich culture of our office and firm through educational sessions and mentorship opportunities that include lunch-and-learns, lectures, project tours and vendor presentations.
* Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and technical drawings.

Your Qualifications
* You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's in Architecture degree program; NAAB accredited program highly preferred.

* Experience using Revit or Rhino required; AutoCAD, and/or BIM modeling software a plus.
* 3-D computer rendering skills (Enscape, V-ray, Sketch Up, 3-D Max, and/or other modeling software).
* Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Work, Outlook and Bluebeam.

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities:
Client Counseling and Support:
- Conduct individual or group counseling sessions under the supervision of a qualified clinician.
- Provide emotional support, guidance, and psychoeducation to clients dealing with various mental health issues or life challenges.
Assessment and Case Management:
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and assist in developing treatment plans for clients.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including progress notes and treatment documentation.
- Collaborate with supervising counselors and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Facilitation of Psychoeducational Material:
- Gather and provide psychoeducational on a variety of topics to enhance clients' and their loved ones' understanding and skills development.
Professional Development and Supervision:
- Participate in regular supervision meetings with an assigned site supervisor to discuss cases, receive feedback, and enhance clinical skills.
- Seek opportunities for continued learning and professional growth through workshops, seminars, or training programs relevant to counseling practice.
Requirements:
1. Currently enrolled in an accredited educational institution.
2. Registered and/or currently taking a practicum and/or internship course.
3. Applicants should have the capability to fulfill a minimum commitment of two semesters within the program.
4. Reliable transportation means for commuting to and from our Outpatient Treatment Center
5. Commit to the duration of the internship program and fulfill the required hours as outlined by the affiliation agreement between the organization and university.
6. Be available to complete your internship hours during operational hours which are Monday through Friday
Education, Knowledge, & Skill Qualifications:
Education:
- Enrollment in a master's program in counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Coursework or specialization in areas such as counseling techniques, psychotherapy theories, ethics, and multicultural counseling.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening, empathy, and the ability to establish rapport with diverse populations.
- Cultural competence and sensitivity to the needs of clients from various backgrounds, including different ethnicities, cultures, genders, and sexual orientations.
Ethical and Professional Standards:
- Understanding of ethical guidelines and legal regulations governing the counseling profession, including confidentiality, informed consent, and boundaries in therapeutic relationships.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, self-reflection, and adherence to ethical principles in practice.
Teamwork and Collaboration:
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including collaborating with supervisors, colleagues, and other professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients.
