Role Overview
Support Syngenta's Global Germplasm Development Pipeline through applying high-resolution satellite imagery and advanced geospatial analytics to extract actionable insights from multi-source satellite data to enhance breeding pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
Process and analyze high-resolution satellite imagery from commercial and public sources.
Develop and validate remote sensing algorithms for physiological, agronomic, and performance trait estimation
Build automated geospatial workflows for large-scale image processing, feature extraction, and temporal analysis across diverse growing regions
Lead an independent research project focused on satellite-based methodology or algorithm development, culminating in a presentation to research leadership

Your Mission: To advance the mission and programs of the Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL) by supporting the Behavior & Enrichment team and gaining valuable, hands-on experience in animal behavior, training, and shelter enrichment practices that improve the lives of animals in our care.
What You'll Do:
As a Behavior & Enrichment Intern, you'll work alongside our experienced team to help enhance the behavioral health and overall wellbeing of shelter animals. You'll assist and observe staff as they implement behavior modification plans and enrichment activities, gaining firsthand experience in positive reinforcement, stress reduction, and the science behind animal behavior. You'll also support the team with animal handling when appropriate, ensuring compassionate and purposeful interactions that promote trust and confidence.
Your internship will include assisting with data entry to help track animal progress and outcomes, as well as learning how enrichment and training plans are designed and adjusted to meet individual animal needs. In all your work, you'll follow ARL safety and animal welfare guidelines, maintain accurate documentation, and model a commitment to our mission and values.
Throughout the internship, you'll complete rotations with the leaders at ARL Main, ARL Animal Services, and the Second Chance Ranch to gain a comprehensive understanding of the ARL's shelter operations. The Student Housing Operations Internship will provide an opportunity for the Intern to experience Student Housing and all of its facets, including Marketing, Property Operations, and Facilities Management. We are looking for Interns with a great attitude, who are team-players, that will embody their university, and relate well to potential residents at their respective property. Essential Functions:
Serve as a property ambassador and leasing agent to provide exceptional service for our students/residents and prospects
Provide superior customer service via phone, email, and in-person communication
Provide support in social media initiatives and prospect outreach
Conduct unit walks and property condition assessments
Guide prospects through all phases of the leasing/prospect journey
Assist in market survey and data comparison analyses
Help with the creation and use of promotional material
Post about our communities and resident services online (e.g. social media and forums)
Additional tasks to be assigned by Manager
Requirements

Physical Demands:
The team member will be regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and reach using feet, legs, back, arms, and hands. The team member may occasionally be required to climb. The team member will be required to work at a personal computer and talk on the phone for extended periods of time. Must possess the ability to detect auditory and/or visual alarms and be available to work extended/flexible hours and weekends as needed. Must be willing to assist with light labor, such as, but not limited to walking units, painting and putting furniture together.
Attendance/Travel:
This is a full-time position and may require the availability to work some nights, weekends, and occasional holidays. Regular attendance and active participation/planning at company functions and events is also required.
