About the Role
Based in our Pleasanton, CA headquarters, 10x Genomics is seeking a meticulous researcher to join our team. This role is instrumental in developing the next generation of spatial biology tools. You will work at the intersection of molecular biology and advanced imaging, contributing directly to the workflows that allow researchers to see biology in its full spatial context.
What You Will Be Doing
Execute standardized molecular biology protocols and complex tissue-based assays, including H&E staining, Immunostaining, and In Situ Hybridization (ISH).
Analyze tissue morphology and structural integrity to evaluate the performance of 10x Genomics assays.
Utilize imaging software (e.g., FIJI/ImageJ) to capture and quantify high-resolution spatial data.
Perform data analysis and visualization using Excel or R to document experimental results and drive technical decision-making.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot protocols and optimize laboratory workflows.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Current student or recent graduate pursuing an MS or PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
Experience: 2+ years laboratory experience.
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated hands-on experience with tissue handling and staining techniques (H&E, Immunostaining, and/or ISH).
Data & Imaging: Experience using imaging software (e.g., FIJI) and data analysis tools (Excel or R) to interpret biological datasets.
Communication: Ability to present technical data and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with spatial transcriptomics or high-plex imaging platforms.
Background in histology and/or pathology with an emphasis on tissue architecture.
Below is the base pay range for this position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one's skills, qualifications, and experience. Job Description
We have multiple openings for graduate students to join the Cyber and Critical Infrastructure Summer Institute (CSI) and to work on topics related to cybersecurity that align with LLNL's national security missions. The 2026 CSI program will run during the summer with a range of start dates between May 18, 2026, and June 22, 2026, and flexible end dates through September 25, 2026. CSI is designed to provide selected candidates an opportunity to apply their skills to projects in areas of national importance such as the development and implementation of cybersecurity tools and capabilities to mitigate advanced threats and the cybersecurity of civilian and defense critical infrastructure. The program will include opportunities to participate in professional and technical development activities with lab Subject Matter Experts, network with fellow interns and lab employees, and learn about the breadth of LLNL's support to US national security.
In this role, you will
* Provide technical and/or research support to projects in the areas of cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, and other related fields working with scientists, engineers, and technical staff members.
* Support documentation, testing, creation or modification of Laboratory software, hardware or computer operating systems.
* Conduct research under limited direction and supervision in one or more of the following areas, as assigned:

Analytical Lab: Given an opportunity to learn all the various lab procedures and should be able to identify wine specs for all the different varietals upon completion of this section. They will be required to pull tank samples which will aid in the learning of the tank farm.
Sanitation: The intern required to participate in the overall sanitation of the facility prior to the season. This gives an opportunity to learn the basics behind the process prior to the start of crush. The intern will work closely with the cellar employees during the completion of this process, which will help develop a good working relationship prior to the season.
Crush: During crush season the intern will be required to supervise all grape processing. This includes:
Ensuring that sanitation has been properly completed prior to the daily startup.
Responsible for the grape trucks from the test stand to the tanks. The intern will need to work closely with the crusher lead and operators to ensure nothing goes to the wrong tank.
Responsible for seeing that additions and circulations are completed on time and in the correct manner.
Responsible to see that tanks are drained/pressed at the right times based on directions from winemaking.
Participate in daily fermenter tasting and conduct tank walks twice per day.
Participate in and document all production scale winemaking trials.
There may be times when the intern may need to make decisions based on their winemaking knowledge. When doing this they need to use all the facts to support their decision
Upon the completion of crush, the intern will aid winemaking/cellar to ensure processing is conducted in the correct manner.
May be required to write work orders under the direction of the Winemaker.
Assist the winemaker and compliance in the process of closing completed work orders.
Stay up to date with all cellar processing.
Need to be able to answer questions about various states of processing when approached by others.
Participate in all benchtop trials as directed by winemaking (fining, blending, etc.)
Learn why and how each piece of equipment functions in the cellar. This will require that the intern spends time with each of the operators on the various pieces of equipment around the winery.
The intern will be required to provide a status report on the internship upon completion of each of the major tasks above.

Training opportunities facilitated by TPCP in a wide variety of relevant practice theories/interventions such as CBT, DBT, ACT, MRT, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Practice, Strength-Based Practice, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Trauma-Focused CBT, Mindfulness, Suicide Prevention, Compassion Fatigue/Vicarious Trauma/Burnout. Documentation, Mandated Reporting, HIPAA, Harm Reduction, Boundaries, Countertransference, Cultural Competency/Humility, Grief and Loss, etc.
