Assists Occupational Therapists with initial assessments, treatment planning, ongoing case management, discharge planning and aftercare development on cases. Assist the Occupational Therapists with documentation of treatment interventions and results in case records on a timely basis. Assists with the appropriate and ongoing training of direct care staff working with assigned team(s). Participates in child and family team meetings and coordinates ongoing treatment on assigned teams. Assists Occupational Therapists with ongoing projects, research and program administration as needed. Works with other departments as needed. This positions does not have direct reports. Essential Functions Assists Therapist Staff with: Initial treatment assessments and formulations (developmental assessments; interviews with clients, parents and significant others to obtain data on the clients's personal, social, developmental, and emotional history; timely completion, etc.). Occupational Therapy delivery (individual and family). Case Management (treatment interventions and case coordination with other disciplines.) Communication with clients (Referral sources, parents/guardians, school officials, etc.). Timeliness of all necessary documentation (session progress notes, contact calls, monthly summaries, discharge summaries, special notes, orders etc.). Assistance with ongoing projects and other disciplines such as the Wellness Committee and Playroom.
