As a Machine Learning Intern at Pinterest, you'll work on tackling new challenges in machine learning and artificial intelligence. Throughout your internship, you'll join our engineering teams as we maneuver through exponential growth and massive scale while building awesome products and features, creating visually rich experiences, spearheading the discovery problem, and pinpointing tomorrow's engineering challenges.
What you'll do:
Lead your own project start to finish to contribute in cutting-edge research in machine learning and artificial intelligence that can be applied to Pinterest problems
Collect, analyze, and synthesize findings from data and build intelligent data-driven models
Write clean, efficient, and sustainable code

What we are looking for:

Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop/Spark) and scalable realtime systems that process stream data
Proficiency in at least one systems language (Java, C++, Python) or one ML framework (Tensorflow, Pytorch, MLFlow)

The Mental Health Associate/Intern will provide on-site mental health services to formerly homeless children and their families living in permanent supportive housing in Pleasant Hill. The position can be part or full-time depending on your needs. Individual supervision, group supervision and training are all provided. Associates provide services in an on-site play therapy room, in family homes and in the community. Some evening and occasional weekend hours will be required.
Applicants of diverse backgrounds who have experience working with low-income families with multiple challenges are encouraged to apply. Applicants with competency working with culturally diverse populations are strongly desired.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Support formerly homeless children to reach their full potential (75%)
:
Provide milieu-based mental health services to
individual children
living in permanent supportive housing who are experiencing emotional challenges. Many of these children may be receiving EPSDT (Early and Periodic Screening Diagnosis and Treatment) services.
Provide on-site individual and group mental health therapeutic services to children.
Assist in delivering on-site parenting support groups to families.
Collaborate with case managers and the youth enrichment coordinator to provide support for individual children and their families, using a team approach. Assist with staff supervision of volunteer programs and community activities delivered to families served by CCIH. These may include evening and occasional weekend commitments.
Work with other staff members to provide community resources for families and individuals, such as social and health related activities, life-skills and employment support, and youth enrichment.
Stay on top of the paperwork and administrative details to keep the program running (15%)

Complete accurate and timely EPSDT chart notes for all services provided to children who are assigned under this contract.
Meet individual EPSDT contract goals for hourly billing, including averaging a minimum of 10 - 12 hours per week (depending on work schedule) of direct service to clients who are assigned under this contract.
Assist the services team with appropriate clinical documentation, including progress notes, service delivery documentation, reports, and forms.
Continuously improve your skills and work with team members and community partners to provide excellent services (10%)
Participate in weekly group and individual supervision, using that time to work on developing therapeutic skills and clinical knowledge, as well as exploring growth opportunities as a mental health provider.

As part of the professional veterinary curriculum, colleges encourage off-campus educational experiences in practices outside of the teaching hospital. Practical experience in a well-run and contemporary practice can be a valuable component of your veterinary education, preparing you to deliver better care after graduation. Our program is dedicated to contributing to your practice-readiness and to help you hit the ground running after graduation.
Our program structure:
Our externships are flexible-they can range from two to eight weeks during the year, according to your college curriculum - but are typically two or three weeks in length. Your schedule will include days, evenings and weekends.
Our externship rotations are designed to allow students, under veterinary supervision, to practice the problem-solving, technical and communication skills that they have acquired during their clinical preparation. Externs are given the opportunity to work alongside our veterinary team and are encouraged to participate in all aspects of patient care. A stipend of $250 per week will be provided.
What you'll be doing:
Externs experience the typical caseload of a small animal practice. Under the supervision of your mentor doctor you will gather histories, perform physical examinations, develop diagnostic and therapeutic plans, scrub in to surgery, assist in the management of medical cases, provide wellness care, develop your client communication skills, polish your technical skills and produce appropriate medical records (SOAPs) within the time limits of daily practice.
Who we're looking for:
Extern students are expected to be enthusiastic and effective participants in our patient care activities, upholding the professional and ethical standards of our practice. Students participating in the externship program are suggested to review the Veterinary Practice Act in regard to the scope of duties that may be performed, and to be familiar with the type and degree of veterinary supervision that is required. These should be followed carefully in order to protect both yourself and our practice.
As a veterinary student extern, we expect you to dress and behave in a professional manner and to meet the expectations that we have of all team members as outlined in our employee handbook.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Stonewall Project is seeking clinical interns for our counseling program. We provide harm reduction-based treatment that integrates substance use, mental health, and sexual health education. Our services center queer, gay, bisexual, and same-gender-loving men; masculine-identified trans and nonbinary folks; and other men who have sex with men.
Clinical interns at the Stonewall Project will receive:
Experience providing individual counseling, group counseling, intakes, and prevention and health education using harm reduction, cognitive-behavioral, and relational approaches
Exposure to contingency management, syringe access services, and other low-threshold interventions supporting our most vulnerable participants
Individual and group supervision with knowledgeable, supportive LMFT, LCSW, and LPCC clinicians
Monthly didactic and experiential training in motivational interviewing techniques
5-7 interactive training sessions on diversity, inclusion, and cultural humility, focusing on the specific communities we serve
Additional training sessions addressing important substance use, mental health, and HIV counseling topics within the communities we serve
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Our internship is 20 hours per week, and a one-year commitment is required. We accept applications from students enrolled in master's programs in counseling, psychology, or social work (MA, MS, MSW, MEd); post-master's Associate MFTs, Associate PCCs, and ASWs; and alcohol and drug counselors seeking California certification. Prior experience with harm reduction approaches, substance use counseling, or working with the LGBTQI community desired (but not required). Our IOP Master s level internship aims to assist in developing competent and ethical entry-level clinicians who are confident in their ability to provide quality, specialized treatment to children, adolescents, and adults experiencing obsessive-compulsive, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. This internship is based within OCD Anxiety Center s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) where interns will obtain professional/clinical development related to individual and family psychotherapy, crisis management, various forms of group facilitation, and documentation. Interns will develop their practical understanding of evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as exposure and response prevention therapy (ERP), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy-prolonged exposure (DBT-PE), and crisis response planning.
