One-Day Externship Workshop // Feb 20, 2026
KPS3
Graduate internship job in Reno, NV
KPS3 is currently accepting applications for our one-day externship workshop program taking place Friday, February 20, 2026.
This is KPS3's one-day externship program with a workshop twist. Think of it as a crash course for anyone curious about how a marketing agency works. Representatives from different divisions will rotate in to lead sessions, share insights, and guide activities to give participants a well-rounded, engaging experience. We'll end the day with a group Q&A session to answer any and all follow-up questions you may have.
Our externship programs are offered twice a year and is open to anyone looking to get into the Advertising and Marketing industry.
That's it.
What to Expect (
and not expect
)
Expect to gain perspective from marketing professionals on what they do best. Expect to be with people who genuinely care about helping you. Expect to get all of your questions answered and to have a good time with some great people. Don't expect to get credits, to get hired on the spot (I mean, it could happen, but probably not), or to leave with anything epic for your portfolio. Whatever experience you end up getting will be real, and it will be with someone who is interested in helping you.
THE FOLLOWING ARE BRIEF DESCRIPTIONS OF THE DIVISIONS YOU MAY ENCOUNTER THROUGHOUT THE DAY:
Account Services - The captains of the ship (thankfully). The account services department works closely with clients and internal departments to deliver strategic and creative work. They ensure solid collaboration cross-department and cross-team on everything from websites and campaigns to ongoing paid media and more.
Creative - Think designers, art directors, social strategists, and creative visionaries. The creative department brings together a myriad of different disciplines to create campaigns, ads, design websites, and establish brand identity to promote products and services to target audiences.
Content - Another place for creative minds-like copywriters, social content creators, and videographers-to shine is the content department. This team acts on behalf of other divisions, developing a wide range of digital content driven by strategy to inspire and entertain. Similar to web dev, this team works to stay in-the-know about the latest trends and tech.
Finance - The team that keeps us all going! The finance department handles the overall financial health of the agency. They control cash flow, income, expenditures, and make sure we're sailing smoothly with as few mishaps as humanly possible.
Growth Marketing - Proud data nerds. The growth marketing department works with clients on search engine optimization, search engine marketing, digital advertising, custom tracking and attribution in order to achieve their goals. These spreadsheet lovers also work closely with the creative and social teams to build powerful digital campaigns.
Public Relations - The people… people. They're strategic, they're great in a crisis, they work to understand and manage attitudes and general consumer sentiment. The public relations department is all about communication and management of our client's overall brand and reputation.
Web Development - Programmers! (
Not
IT.) They are the front and back-end developers that turn projects into functional applications and websites by writing, testing, debugging, and maintaining. The development world is constantly changing, so this department focuses heavily on ways to consistently improve workflow, coding practices, and our overall tech stack.
Applications will close Friday, February 6th.

DVM Student Externship/Preceptorship Program - Aspen Animal Wellness
Aspen Animal Wellness
Graduate internship job in Reno, NV
We're making an investment in the next generation of veterinary doctors!
As part of the professional veterinary curriculum, colleges encourage off-campus educational experiences in practices outside of the teaching hospital. Practical experience in a well-run and contemporary practice can be a valuable component of your veterinary education, preparing you to deliver better care after graduation. Our program is dedicated to contributing to your practice-readiness and to help you hit the ground running after graduation.
Our program structure:
Our externships are flexible-they can range from two to eight weeks during the year, according to your college curriculum - but are typically two or three weeks in length. Your schedule will include days, evenings and weekends.
Our externship rotations are designed to allow students, under veterinary supervision, to practice the problem-solving, technical and communication skills that they have acquired during their clinical preparation. Externs are given the opportunity to work alongside our veterinary team and are encouraged to participate in all aspects of patient care. A stipend of $250 per week will be provided.
What you'll be doing:
Externs experience the typical caseload of a small animal practice. Under the supervision of your mentor doctor you will gather histories, perform physical examinations, develop diagnostic and therapeutic plans, scrub in to surgery, assist in the management of medical cases, provide wellness care, develop your client communication skills, polish your technical skills and produce appropriate medical records (SOAPs) within the time limits of daily practice.
Who we're looking for:
Extern students are expected to be enthusiastic and effective participants in our patient care activities, upholding the professional and ethical standards of our practice. Students participating in the externship program are suggested to review the Veterinary Practice Act in regard to the scope of duties that may be performed, and to be familiar with the type and degree of veterinary supervision that is required. These should be followed carefully in order to protect both yourself and our practice.
As a veterinary student extern, we expect you to dress and behave in a professional manner and to meet the expectations that we have of all team members as outlined in our employee handbook.
Requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited DVM program.
You are authorized to work in the United States.
You must carry professional liability insurance. AVMA PLIT liability insurance is free for all student members of the AVMA. You may apply for this coverage on their website. Please check to make sure your coverage is current and submit a certificate of coverage with your application.
About us:
As sponsors of the Veterinary Externship Program, we see ourselves to be part of your educational team, providing instruction, mentoring and evaluation of the students who participate. You will be assigned a mentor and work on the learning objectives as defined by your college program or to meet your specific goals. At the end of the externship your mentor will provide a written evaluation of your performance as required by your college program.
We look forward to working with you!
