Understanding how ultrasonic waves propagate through the human body has many important applications for AR/VR. However, this problem is still largely unexplored and extremely complex to model. Meta is leading a cutting-edge investigation in this space, relying on world-class experts. In this position, you will join Meta's ultrasonic sensing team to investigate the propagation of ultrasonic waves in complex media using both experiments and simulations, explore different ultrasound carrier frequencies, modulation waveforms, launch configurations, transducers and body coupling, and estimate fundamental wave propagation parameters, such as dispersion, attenuation, and group velocity.Our internships are twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year.

Los Angeles Cancer Network is seeking an Research Administrative Assistant to perform administrative support duties related to the collection of clinical data and/or the coordination of clinical studies. Work under supervision of the principal investigator and/or study coordinator/supervisor.
Duties include*:

Prepare, distribute, and process questionnaires.
Perform clerical duties in the preparation of regulatory documents. Maintain all forms and documents, including consent forms and master subject logs. File all appropriate correspondence.

Trays of the pizza dough are carried three at a time over short distances, and weigh approximately 12 pounds per tray. PUSHING: Pushing is performed to move trays which are placed in dollies. A stack of trays on a dolly is approximately 24" - 30" and requires a 7.5 pounds to push. Trays may also be pulled. CLIMBING: Team Members must infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder to change prices on signs, wash walls, perform maintenance. STOOPING/BENDING: Forward bending at the waist is necessary at the pizza assembly station. Toe room is present, but workers are unable to flex their kneeswhile standing at the station. Duration of this position is approximately 30-45 seconds at one time, repeated continuoslsy during the day. Forward bending is also present at the front counter and when stacking ingredients. CROUCHING /SQUATTING: Perfomed occasionally to stock shelves and to clean low areas. REACHING: Reaching is performed continuosly; up, down and forward. Workers reach above 72" occasionaly to turn on'off oven controls, change prices on sign, and lift and lower objects to and from shelves. Workers reaching down to perform such tasks as scooping cornmeal from plastic barrel, or washing dishes. Workers reach forward when obtaining topping ingredients, cleaning work surfaces, or answering phones. HAND TASKS: Eye-hand coordination is essential. Use of hands is continuous during the day. Frequently activities requiere use of one or both hands. Shaping pizza dough requires frequent and forceful use of forearms and wrist. Workers must manipulate a pizza peel when removing pizza from the oven, and when using rolling cutter. Frequent and/or forceful pinching is required in the assembly of cardborad pizza boxes. Team members must be able to grasp cans, the phone, the pizza cutter and the pizza peel, and pizza boxes. MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, WORK AIDS: Team members may be required to utilize pencil/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter and pizza peel. JOB DUTIES: Deliver product by car and thhen to door of customer. Deliver flyers and doorhangers or any marketing materials. REQUIERES: Valid Driver License with safe driving recor meeting company standards. Access to insured vehicle which can be used for delivery. ESSENTIAL SKILLS: Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area. Must navigate adverse terrain including multy-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product. RESPONSIBILITIES
Professionally represent Flourish Research in all interactions with patients, sponsors, and clinical partners.
Review study protocols and support protocol-specific patient visits and procedures.
After training, accurately document patient assessments, observations, and test results per protocol and regulations.
Obtain and document informed consent in accordance with federal, IRB, and GCP requirements.
Help recruit, screen, schedule, and follow up with study subjects to meet enrollment and visit timelines.
Maintain complete and accurate source documents, CRFs/eCRFs, and other study records.
Protect patient and study confidentiality and promptly report adverse events to appropriate team members.
Assist with investigational product and study supply accountability and documentation.
Communicate regularly with the Team Lead, CRCs, Site Director, PI, and study team and document as required.
Participate in required training, stay current on regulations, and perform duties safely, efficiently, and as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree in Science or equivalent clinical research experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
1-3+ years of experience in clinical or biological research.
ECG, phlebotomy, and other protocol-related technical skills preferred.
Solid understanding of clinical research methods and GCP/regulatory concepts.
Strong oral and written communication skills; able to collaborate across research teams.
Proficient with Office 365 and general computer applications.
Demonstrates professionalism, strong work ethic, integrity, and attention to detail.
Adaptable team player who can take on additional tasks, support process improvements, and help train new hires.

COMPENSATION

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Graduate Assistant is a live-in residential education opportunity in an upperclassmen apartment community. The purpose of this assistantship is to provide the individual an opportunity to apply and practice theory learned in the classroom.
The Graduate Assistant under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Housing & Residence Life, is responsible for the coordination and development of the residence program within his/her living area. S/he is the main facilitator in the planning and implementation of a meaningful residence life experience for students. The Graduate Assistant is primarily an educator with a developmental philosophy, committed to helping residential students bridge their academic and interpersonal worlds. Included as responsibilities are: general counseling and guidance, living area programming, supporting Resident Advisor staff selection, training and development. The Graduate Assistant intentionally plans a living-learning program that emphasizes the development of community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
(Approximately 20 hours per week)
1. Residence Life Leadership:
● Support Resident Advisor selection process
● Attend 6 Spring Training sessions on Wednesdays from 3:00-4:30 pm
● Assist Resident Directors with development and implementation of Resident Advisor training cycle (Spring Training, Fall Training, and In-Service Training)
● Understand and communicate the rationale for Biola University Community Standards and apartment regulations
● Support or not openly disagree with University regulations
2. Involvement with Students:
● Plan apartment programming which reflects the Philosophy & Strategic Plan of Residence Life-Our Vision, Mission and Values

● Attend University chapel at least two times per month
3. Administration:
● Manage the use and upkeep of all rooms and services within the apartment community
● Oversee opening and closing of the apartments, and provide support for housing systems such as room change
● Communicate custodial and maintenance needs to facilities services personnel and/or housing, and monitor progress
● Assume direct responsibility for apartment programming fund
● Maintain regular office hours
4. Professional Growth:
● Attend Residence Life staff meetings and co-labs as directed to participate in Residence Life planning as well as staff development
● Attend Student Development Divisional meetings (bi-weekly)
● Schedule regular one-on-one meetings with Assistant Director of Housing & Residence Life
TIME COMMITMENTS
The Graduate Assistant has daytime meetings, daily assignments, and the responsibility of planning a weekly schedule, which includes the following:
● Attending Residence Life staff meetings, retreats and trainings.
● Attending bi-weekly one-on-one meetings with their direct supervisor.
● Maintaining scheduled office hours in the Residence Life office or apartment office.
The Graduate Assistant is also expected to be available on weekends during which special events are schedule (i.e. Check-in, Check-out, and August Training). It is expected that the Graduate Assistant will have a weekly schedule on file with his/her supervisor.

The Residential Education Graduate Assistant (REGA) is a live-in position whose primary functions are to assist the Towers Hall Assistant Director with high-touch strategies, student care and conduct support, Resident Assistant (RA) training and leadership, and student success initiatives within the framework of the residential living experience in a large freshman/sophomore living area. The role is designed based on an apprenticeship model where Graduate Assistants are invited into many departmental processes to both observe, learn alongside, and contribute. It is expected that they would finish their time in this role at Vanguard University with a broad knowledge of housing operations, residence life, professional teamwork, student affairs, and student care and conduct that will prepare them for a future career in higher education. This position is approximately 20 hours per week for about 10 months.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The REGA assists the Towers Hall Assistant Director with Huntington and Laguna Hall living area building management, RA team leadership, and residential student success throughout the academic year including but not limited to leadership training and development, check-in, care/conduct meetings, check-out, student mentorship, programming, group discipleship, data tracking, and identifying emerging residential education opportunities. The REGA will provide student-facing service in the Residence Life and Towers Hall offices through front desk support, housing operations tabling, and some after-hours emergency care.

This Teaching Assistant opportunity is perfect for individuals passionate about fostering student growth, offering hands-on experience in supporting classroom instruction, managing learning resources, and encouraging a positive academic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Behavioral Support: Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) or Individualized Education Plan (IEPs)
-Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one or small group support using positive reinforcement and de-escalation strategies to promote self-regulation, social-emotional skills, and engagement.
-Classroom Assistance: Collaborate with teachers to maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment and encourage student participation.
-Communication: Work closely with teachers, parents, and staff to ensure consistent and effective support for students.
-Personal Care: Support with personal care or hygiene as needed, including toileting, feeding, and dressing.
Required Qualifications/Experience:
-High School Diploma
-Experience supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to stay calm and patient in challenging situations
-English proficiency
-U.S. work authorization (Zen Educate cannot provide sponsorship for an employment visa or relocation assistance at this time)
- Candidates must be 18 years or older to apply
Physical Requirements:
- Comfortable being on your feet and moving around the classroom throughout the day
- Able to lift up to 20 lbs and safely assist students when needed (kneeling, bending, quick response)
- Additional physical requirements may be requested during your application process
Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience in Special Education, particularly with moderate to severe behaviors, ABA Therapy, Behaviour Technician Experience or AAC Devices
-Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies
-CPR and First Aid
-CPI or Pro Act Training
Salary
Pay: $24 - $25 per hour, paid weekly.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, within hours of 7:30 am - 3:00/4:30 pm (no weekend work).
