Trexquant developed the Global Alpha Researcher Program (GAR) in 2015 with a mission to provide a platform for highly academically-talented and high achieving individuals who may not have traditional finance backgrounds but are interested in applying their skills in quantitative finance. Teaching Assistants in the Children's Day Program are creative, energetic, career-oriented teaching professionals who are motivated to educate individuals with developmental disabilities in an ungraded self-contained classroom. Teaching Assistants are offered on-going trainings and support provided by board certified behavior analysts and other qualified professionals to enhance and maximize career growth. Our school programs operate on a 12-month calendar. This is a great opportunity to get valuable experience and knowledge working in a classroom and community setting following the principles of applied behavior analysis. $18.00-$21.60/hour Schedule Per Diem Monday-Friday 8am-3pm Responsibilities The Teaching Assistant NYS Level I (DDITA) will assist the teacher in directly implementing IEP's. The Teaching Assistant NYS Level I (DDITA) will collect student behavior and performance data as directed by the teacher. The Teaching Assistant NYS Level I (DDITA) will assist in conducting basic instructional activities and in helping with the safety and supervision of students. The Teaching Assistant NYS Level I (DDITA) will attend and pass all required in-services and trainings. The Teaching Assistant NYS Level I (DDITA) will participate in performance reviews/discussions. The Teaching Assistant NYS Level I (DDITA) will accept assignments in varying classes, in accordance with the need of the program to provide proper ratio in class groupings. The Teaching Assistant NYS Level I (DDITA) will be familiar with and act in accordance with all policies contained in the Children's Day Services Handbook for Staff. The Teaching Assistant NYS Level I (DDITA) will supervise the Substitute Teacher Assistant in the Teacher's absence. The Teaching Assistant NYS Level I (DDITA) will assist in student arrival from the busses and dismissal to the busses. The Teaching Assistant NYS Level I (DDITA) will accompany assigned students if they leave the building for programmatic or emergency reasons. Qualifications A Teaching Assistant NYS Level I (DDITA) must complete requirements outlined by NYSED and apply for Teaching Assistant Level I certification within 6 months of employment and receive certification within 1 year. This certification requires: Identification and Reporting of Child Abuse and Maltreatment, School Violence Prevention and Intervention, Dignity for All Students Act, NYSATAS Exam, Fingerprint Clearance, Application for TA certification and High School diploma Must demonstrate an interest in working with students with disabilities. Experience working with children and or individuals with disabilities is preferable. Must attend and pass in-services and trainings. Must demonstrate good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. A minimum of 9 college credits with one year of hire is required. Must maintain active status of the Level I certificate once attained. Position Description: The successful candidate will provide quantitative bioanalytical support using LC-MS/MS for a variety of high throughput in vitro ADME profiling assays. In this hands-on role, the candidate will perform sample analyses by mass spectrometry, and will review, interpret and report results. Instruments and software from various vendors including Sciex (Analyst) and Thermo (Excalibur) will be used along with custom internal data processing software to acquire data and process results. The successful candidate will also troubleshoot HPLC and MS instrumentation as necessary. Position Requirements: BS or MS in chemistry, with specialization in analytical chemistry preferred, along with 1 to 5 years of relevant pharmaceutical experience is required. Training or experience in mass spectrometry and separation science, as well as hands-on experience in quantitative LC-MS/MS analysis are desired. Proficiency in general computer software, including vendor specific instrument control and analysis tools, is required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, are required as is commitment to working as a team player within a multifunctional organization. A working knowledge of allied disciplines such as computer science, lab automation, drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics and synthetic chemistry is helpful.
