Hiring Range: $40,000 - $53,000

Gillette Children's is recruiting for a ResearchAssistant II to primarily support the Pain and Comfort Program. Work locations include 200/205 University (primary location) and outlying clinics, depending on Research Department needs. Standard work scheduled Monday through Friday during business hours with possible weekend hours (1.0 FTE position).
The Pain and Comfort Program focuses on high quality studies aimed at improving the quality of both acute and chronic pain management for patients at Gillette. Under the direction of Dr. Chantel Burkitt, PhD, and Dr. Todd Dalberg, DO, Gillette investigators design novel research studies that will help inform future care. Current areas of research include: assessing the efficacy of a modified Quantitative Sensory Test in individuals with cerebral palsy; assessing the use of virtual reality in the reduction of pain perception following spinal fusion; and assessing the use of virtual reality in the reduction of pain perception in pediatric cerebral palsy patients undergoing botulinum toxin A injections to reduce spasticity. Additional studies in other Research Programs may be assigned.
Purpose of Position:
The ResearchAssistant (RA) works to serve as an integral member of the clinical research team by assisting with research conduct for a designated research program, providing back-up to other areas as assigned. The person in this role will participate in study conduct activities including, but not limited to, screening, recruitment, data collection, data collection tool design, and data entry. This will be done under the direction of the principal investigator, Clinical Research Coordinator and/or Supervisor of Research Operations.
The person in this role will have demonstrated proficiency in the above section as well as assist investigators with understanding and using software related to research data collection, retrieval, and presentation. Additionally, they will assist with training and mentoring to other RAs when appropriate.
Compensation and Benefits Information:
The hourly wage for this opportunity is $22.67 to $34.00, with a median wage of $28.35/hour. Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity. Successful candidate will spend 20% of effort clinically - seeing Dermatology patients in an outpatient setting. Pay and Benefits:

Minimum Qualifications:

Serve as a primary personal resource for staff and students in dealing with specific residence hall concerns, including roommate conflicts and other developmental issues.
Encourage students to demonstrate responsible and ethical behavior in their communities, assisting with conduct adjudication when requested by supervisor.
Develop a familiarity with campus and community resources to ensure timely and efficient referrals when appropriate.
Work with the Campus Safety and Security on matters pertaining to residents' safety.
Coordinate the completion of tasks which are related to the operational aspects of the residence hall; this includes check-in and check-out procedures, facilities requests, fire/health/safety inspections, and other aspects as needed.
Serve on various department and university committees, as assigned.
Attend all RD meetings and other events related to training, administrative tasks, and university initiatives.
Support the functions of the Student Life and Housing department by leading, coordinating, administering, and supporting programs and services.
Reflect and promote the Christian mission, vision and identity of the University.
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Comply with all USF student, GA, RD. and university policies and regulations, and also with outside agencies' policies and regulations, including but not limited to Title IX, NCAA, NSIC, Department of Education, Clery Act, FERPA, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor, and the Department of Justice.
QUALIFICATIONS:
An earned bachelor's degree with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Animal Sciences Department at North Dakota State University is seeking to fill a 12-month non-tenure track researchassistant professor position with expertise in value-added meat science. The department is seeking a quality individual to engage as part of a diverse, multi-disciplinary team. The department includes 22 faculty members whose specialties encompass physiology, reproduction, nutrition, genetics, meat science, livestock management, and human animal interactions. The Department of Animal Sciences has three-degree designations - Animal Science, Equine Science, and Veterinary Technology (further detail regarding the department is summarized below).
The successful candidate is expected to possess the ability to succeed in the promotion process through the pursuit of scholarly activities within the scope of their appointment which will encompass 100% research which includes acquiring funding for innovative and relevant research in meat science.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will:
* Establish and manage a high-impact research program focused on value-added muscle food innovation and (or) value-added meat-animal product development.
* Collaborate with other faculty, scientists and Extension educators within the department and across the university system on research programs related to fresh meat and value-added muscle food innovation.
* Successfully secure extramural funding and publish research results in peer reviewed outlets.
* Advise and actively participate in graduate student training.
* Serve the department, college, and university in such capacity as (for example) student club advisor, recruitment and retention of undergraduate students, and as a representative of responsible animal agriculture.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Ph. D. in meat-animal sciences or related field.
* Evidence of plans or ability to pursue research in the focus areas of muscle foods with emphasis on fresh meat and (or) processed meat.
* Ability to secure extramural funding and publish results in peer reviewed journals.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a diverse team atmosphere.
* Valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Demonstrated ability to obtain extramural funding.
* Published in peer-reviewed scientific publications.
* Demonstrated ability to mentor graduate and undergraduate students
* Experience with HACCP plan implementation and meat lab operations.
* Knowledge of the mission of the Land Grant University.
