This project is funded by the NSF Systems and Synthetic Biology Program and builds on our successful initial studies of Type 4 Chromatic Acclimation (CA4) as described in publications in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences USA and Annual Review of Microbiology. Indianapolis Zoo Chimpanzee Behavior Research Internship - Summer 2026 The Zoo's Internship Program offers a unique opportunity for college students to become actively involved in the Zoo's conservation, research, education and recreation efforts. Interns can enhance their knowledge and experience in various administrative, animal care and education roles. Internship Structure and Schedule: 2026 Summer Internships at the Indianapolis Zoo will last for 12 weeks and take place from mid-May to mid-August.
