Current areas of research include: assessing the efficacy of a modified Quantitative Sensory Test in individuals with cerebral palsy; assessing the use of virtual reality in the reduction of pain perception following spinal fusion; and assessing the use of virtual reality in the reduction of pain perception in pediatric cerebral palsy patients undergoing botulinum toxin A injections to reduce spasticity. Purpose of Position: The Research Assistant (RA) works to serve as an integral member of the clinical research team by assisting with research conduct for a designated research program, providing back-up to other areas as assigned.
