ABOUT THE TEAM

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Distill and fine-tune transformer architectures so they can be deployed onto edge devices or compute denied environments
Propose and prototype LLM-based Agentic systems that help solve real world problems, leveraging the latest state-of-the-art techniques in the field
Develop and maintain mission relevant benchmarks
Work cross-functionally with different business lines across Anduril to help discover and scope new research problems
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
BS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, or related field
5+ years experience developing and benchmarking ML algorithms
Experience pushing and maintaining ML algorithms in production
Strong Python skills with experience in ML frameworks such as PyTorch
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

US Salary Range
$220,000 - $292,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Los Angeles Cancer Network is seeking an Research Administrative Assistant to perform administrative support duties related to the collection of clinical data and/or the coordination of clinical studies. Work under supervision of the principal investigator and/or study coordinator/supervisor.
Duties include*:
Schedule and/or call subjects for appointments; contact participants with reminders or other requirements.
Prepare, distribute, and process questionnaires.
Perform clerical duties in the preparation of regulatory documents. Maintain all forms and documents, including consent forms and master subject logs. File all appropriate correspondence.
Assist with the screening, recruiting, and obtaining consent of study participants. Review medical records and/or perform telephone or in-person interviews to gather data, as needed.
Administer standard study questionnaires and tests, score test measurements and questionnaires, and code data for computer entry. Perform quantitative review of forms, tests, and other measurements for completeness and accuracy.
Extract data from source documents for research studies as directed. Collect data and complete case report forms.
Perform basic measurements and tests on patients according to protocol, such as obtaining vital signs and performing phlebotomy and EKG, after appropriate training/certification. Collect study specimens according to protocol.
Prepare, process, and ship specimens/samples accurately under well-defined requirements.
Conduct experiments in support of research projects in lab and maintain records of outcomes.
Order and maintain equipment and supplies.
Process study compensation payments and thank you letters to subjects upon completion of trial activities. Assist with post-study activities, as needed.

Position Description
The Monarch Research and Education Internship offers hands-on experience in monarch monitoring, habitat assessments, conservation, and community outreach. Interns conduct field research using standardized protocols and work directly with biologists and Natural Resource Managers on military lands.
This is a field-focused position. Interns typically spend four days each week outdoors and one day completing data entry, writing, and administrative tasks. Fieldwork involves documenting milkweed presence, identifying blooming plants, and recording monarch eggs, larvae, and adults. Interns also support outreach activities designed to inspire interest in monarchs, pollinators, and migration among military families and school-aged children. JOB SUMMARY
The Professional Writing Office is looking for enthusiastic individuals to work as Writing Consultants in our business-centered office. The position requires the following:
Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to shift communication style, tone and audience seamlessly
Exceptional writing and communication aptitude-able to skillfully manage a wide range of personalities and maintain sensitivity to diverse populations who may need additional tutoring assistance. Must be able to help with various formats associated with business, but also general mechanics and grammar
Able to manage ones time without losing focus or being distracted
Self-driven with a proven record of being able to pace oneself to complete tasks without direct supervision
A “can do” attitude who believes in delivering outstanding service to anyone who they come in contact with
Junior-level in good standing with a GPA of a 3.5 or higher in English/writing courses
Willing to perform general office tasks and promotions for a small campus office in order to garner new foot traffic
Must have transportation to campus to work 50% of shift or more in-person-this is not a fully online position
Preferred but not required skills:
Completion of Management 3500 with a B+ or better
Promotion and social media aptitude and a desire to maintain our office
Spanish speaker
TYPICAL ACTIVITIES
A day-in the life of a PWO Writing Consultant consists predominantly with tutoring both graduate and undergraduate students in their business writing and communications assignments. This requires the prospective employee to think quickly on their feet, wearing various “hats” in order to be effective as one person may enter needing help with content and another wants guidance on mechanics and grammar. Must be able to transition from various needs of our student population and do so with grace and a positive attitude. Tutoring sessions run 3 minutes per session with students having the option of working a full hour is need be.
Beyond tutoring activities, employees are expected to complete administrative tasks and promotions to make students award of our services. Administrative tasks include, but are not limited to: generating reports for faculty, creating fliers, assisting in campus events and general maintenance of the PWO functions per the Director.

COMPENSATION
All GraduateAssistant appointments are made under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the United Auto Workers. Initial appointments are for one semester only.
