Job Summary:
- The Special Research Intern will join our team for a minimum of 46 weeks, working up to 20 hours each week.

Job Duties:
- The Special Research Intern provides research, advice, and consulting regarding complex biomedical topics such as biomedical research and clinical trials on various natural curatives, homeopathic treatments, and substances.
- This position involves researching and reporting on uses of psychedelics and/or hallucinogens like Psilocybin, Ibogaine, Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD), Dimethyltryptamine (DMT), Mescaline, 3-methoxy-4,5-methylenedioxyamphetamine (MMDA or Ecstasy), and other substances, to treat various emotional, psychological, or medical disorders.
- You may be asked to establish and maintain quality contacts with external pharmacological, psychological, neurological, and medical professionals and sources.
- You may be a public-facing member of the team.
- You will be called to visit medical facilities, scientific facilities, and higher education research laboratories, to work contact researchers, medical professionals, and subject matter experts across multiple topics such as the safety and efficacy of marijuana, psilocybin, and ibogaine, to treat various medical, psychological, and neurological conditions.
- You may be asked to conduct academic research on a variety of biomedical topics.
- You will assist in the review and evaluation of grant applications for scientific and research projects.
- You will assist in preparing written reports on research findings, provide content for legislatively required annual reports and websites.
- You may make oral reports to various public bodies such as the Psilocybin Research Advisory Council.
- You will assist with the review and scoring of research grant applications.
- You may actively participate in the planning of events such as the annual ABRC-Flinn Foundation Research Conference, the U of A's re Imagine Health Conference, or the annual Arizona Cord Blood Conference.

A grant funded Research Assistant position is available in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics on the Glendale campus of Midwestern University. The laboratory studies the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying prion diseases and other more common neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. scouting reports, game and practice plans, and coaching in all traditional and non-traditional segments that will place the
program in a position of competitive leadership in the GSAC (Great Southwest Athletic Conference).
3. Responsible for assisting the head coach, program, and university personnel with the retention of student athletes. This includes
social and academic support, meeting regularly with the members of your assigned position group to monitor their academic progress
to ensure players are investing the time and effort required to be successful in the classroom.

Overview

Maintains a spreadsheet tracking updates to database of all subjects referred to research.
Completes documentation on each study visit that is used to track all study related activities so that time, effort and materials can be accounted for on a monthly basis.
