The Role
The successful candidate will be trained to work with embryonic stem cell-derived cerebral organoids interfaced with tumor stem cell biology, to facilitate High Throughput drug screenings. They will be a key personnel of the incipient Starr Foundation Cerebral Organoid Translational Core and will report to its supervisor.
In achieving this goal, the candidate will have the opportunity to perform, and receive training in, a wide range of laboratory techniques including: reprogramming of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), embryonic and induced pluripotent stem cell culture, the generation and culture of cerebral organoids and tumor organoids and the use and development of cell based assays to test novel therapeutic drug candidates, and cutting edge gene editing and molecular biology techniques. They will be an integral member of the lab with the ability to work independently, contribute to experimental design, interpret and present your results to the wider team, and receive recognition through authorship on published work.
Job responsibilities
Collect and process biological patient specimens to establish glioma stem cell lines.
Perform routine human iPSC/ESC culture.

Genetically Diverse Cardiomyocyte Screening Program New York, New York JAX/NYSCF Global Stem Cell Array JAX/NYSCF is seeking a Research Assistant III to join the Functional Genomics team as part of the NYSCF Global Stem Cell Array, a robotic system that automates both iPSC derivation, gene editing, and downstream differentiations.
The Research Assistant III will contribute to an innovative project centered on phenotyping cardiomyocytes derived from genetically diverse human induced pluripotent stem cell (hi PSC) lines. This work aims to uncover the genetic basis of cardiotoxic responses and to advance predictive models of cardiovascular health through high-throughput functional screening, transcriptomics, and metabolomics.
The project is highly collaborative, involving multidisciplinary teams across several institutions. The primary focus of the work you'll do at JAX/NYSCF is developing automated protocols for the derivation/culture of iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes, drug testing, and sample preparation for downstream analyses, including imaging and single-cell sequencing.
We want candidates with extensive expertise in human pluripotent stem cell culture, directed differentiation into cardiomyocytes, and functional assays. Experience with cell culture automation (including liquid handling systems) or high-throughput assays is a major plus.

We are looking for motivated interns to join us in exploring how bleeding edge machine learning can reshape the future of digital dentistry and advance the state-of-the-art for generative AI. This is a hybrid/in office role based in our New York City headquarters.
What You'll Do
As a Machine Learning Intern at Dandy, you will:
Work with large, complex datasets (3D scans, sensor data, and beyond) to build and evaluate ML models.
Explore and implement state-of-the-art machine learning methods, including generative modeling, deep learning, and applied optimization.
Collaborate with researchers and engineers to improve existing ML pipelines and identify opportunities for innovation.
Contribute to experiments, prototypes, and production-ready solutions in real-world applications.
Learn best practices in MLOps, model evaluation, and applied research.
What We're Looking For
Current graduate (Master's or PhD) student in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Applied Math, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Coursework or research experience in machine learning, deep learning, or applied AI.
Curiosity, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work on open-ended challenges.
Prior exposure to large datasets, generative AI, or 3D/vision data is a plus, but not required.
Candidates must be able to reliably commute to the Dandy office in New York City, 3 days per week.

9. Proven technical vision in where the field of generative AI will go
10. Experience of and knowledge of online and offline measurement, benchmark building, and data synthesis
11. Experience with cross functional collaboration with other teams including non-engineering functions
12. Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, leading technical organizations, including performance management
