Some of the duties of a Research Aide include: * Light cleaning of floors and tables after food is served * Assistance in hand washing of children * Constant supervision of children both inside and outside of the building * Assuring that all OCFS guidelines are complied with in the classroom in regards to cleanliness at all times * Updating families on the BrightWheel app about their child's day * Change diapers/clothes when needed * Assist in nap time protocol * Assist in preparing for daily activities planned by the teacher * Communicating with parents, coworkers and supervisors * Close out the room upon leaving for the day * On occasion, leading the room in the absence of the lead teacher * Providing a role model for Work Study students and Interns * Reporting accidents and incidents in a timely manner * Caring for an ill or hurt child Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Current Farmingdale State College undergraduate student. * High School diploma. * One year of experience working with children under the age of 13.
