Home / Employment / Graduate Assistant - Cutting Edge Program DESCRIPTION OF JOB: This Cutting Edge Graduate/Doctoral Assistant position is designed for graduate or doctoral students who are interested in pursuing a career in special education, postsecondary education programs for students with disabilities, Child Life, psychology, art therapy, or human services. The goal of the Cutting Edge program is to support inclusion of students with intellectual and developmental disabilities into all aspects of college, including social, educational, residential, and student life activities. The Graduate Assistant works closely with the Cutting Edge Staff to implement program objectives for the school year. The Graduate Assistant is expected to support Cutting Edge students in academic courses, independent living, employment, and social skills. This includes building social relationships amongst the Cutting Edge students and between Cutting Edge students and traditional undergraduate students. It is necessary for the Graduate Assistant to collaborate with staff and faculty members of the campus community, as well as the community at-large.
