Job Duties:
Students may be involved in one or many of the following:
Research the viability of a new program or initiative; compile and present statistics.
Clean up, edit and update a database.
Conduct a failure analysis and investigation.
Evaluate and improve efficiency, streamline programs, or cut costs.
Perform a study or survey; analyze and present results.
Compile employee manuals or develop process directions for tasks.
Conduct a cost benefit analysis to upgrade on a specific material/machine.
Design tooling or ground support equipment.
Work on a continuous improvement project resulting in a measurable improvement.
Carries out other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
Completion of two years of education in engineering related curriculum
The ability to read and interpret manuals, technical drawings, and blueprints.
The ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
The ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance.
The ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Experience with CAD and simulation software
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and 5S Principles
Lean Green Belt Certification preferred
Project Experience in manufacturing setting preferred

This UX Research internship offers you the opportunity to work with a small, highly collaborative team leveraging user research tools and techniques to optimize and evaluate innovative design and experience-based solutions.
What you'll do in this role:
* Support user research activities using both generative and evaluative methodologies;
* Analyze and extrapolate actionable findings from qualitative and quantitative research;
* Conduct qualitative methodologies to uncover pain points, points of friction, or insights on owned, comparative and competitive digital experiences;
* Analyze and synthesize insights from on-site behavioral insight tools;
* Supplement UX research inputs with analytics data, market research, and other data sources;
* Ideate, strategize, and plan conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives;
* Share research insights with cross-functional partners to create a smarter, more informed, and more empathetic team;
* Articulate systems, processes, and user journeys in simple ways to help build alignment across teams;

Summary:
The Greenacres Research Department is looking for a paid research intern from May to August to join us for our 2026 field season. Greenacres research is multidisciplinary and explores connections between management practices and outcomes on our land and end-products. The 2026 intern will work alongside the Greenacres Research Team to assist with monitoring, sampling, data collection, and various tasks for current research projects. Interns will gain experience across several disciplines, including agriculture, ecology, and land management. In addition to job duties, our interns are required to complete an independent project during their internship at Greenacres. But don't worry, project ideas will be developed with guidance from your supervisor!
The Research Intern will have the opportunity to get hands-on experience with the following skills:
Sample collection and preparation (vegetation and forage ID, soil and macroinvertebrate sampling)
Ecosystem and pasture monitoring
Data collection for on-farm research projects
Invasive plant control and land management methods
Data entry and analysis
Searching, reviewing, and critiquing scientific literature
Professional communication
Requirements
A background or interest in any of the following: Ecology, Biology, Agriculture, Environmental Sciences or a related science
A basic understanding of the scientific method is expected
Interns must be prepared to work in a professional environment, complete tasks carefully and in a timely manner
Ability to work outdoors under various field and weather conditions
Interns must be prompt, responsible and focused
Ability to work 40 hours per week
Strong attention to detail is required
