Position Purpose
Under the general supervision of a building principal, teachers in Gentry Public Schools provide instruction that supports student success and growth in academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and interpersonal skills. Teachers implement district-approved curriculum, monitor and document student progress, address individual student needs, and create safe, supportive, and effective learning environments. Educators are expected to collaborate with colleagues, communicate clearly with students and families, and contribute to a positive, inclusive culture where all students are expected to learn.

About The Position
The Foundational Science Educator, Pathology is a full-time, non-tenure position. This individual will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to ensure students receive broad-based training experience. Foundational sciences are interwoven throughout all four years of the curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a history of teaching excellence in medical education and work well with colleagues across the respective and relevant phases. This position will collaborate with other clinical and basic science faculty for the development of clinical cases to emphasize basic science foundational concepts and will participate in the development and review of formative and summative assessment items. Develop Curriculum - oversee the development and integration of all content tied to the pathology and the relevant pathology elements, including the development of clinically relevant narratives and various assessment tools including, but not limited to, NBME-style multiple-choice questions and assessment of student performance in active learning sessions.
Teach / Instruct / Facilitate - actively engage in student instruction, developing and delivering content using active learning methodologies. Collaborate with faculty colleagues to create, deliver, and pre-record flipped classroom content. Facilitate small and large group active learning; serve as facilitator for small group discussion such as in case-based learning, and other small group sessions.
Assess / Evaluate - create learning objectives related to respective foundational sciences and map them to the curriculum. Use appropriate metrics and assessment methods to ensure that students meet those objectives. Work collaboratively with faculty and staff for continuous quality improvement of courses, sessions, activities, and assessments.
Participate in professional development programs to enhance teaching, educational and other skills needed to execute their responsibilities.

Summary of Job Duties:The School of Physical Sciences at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking individuals to serve as a GraduateTeachingAssistant in our Geology program. This is an on-campus appointment. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
Qualifications:
Required Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education;
Regular admission to a UA Little Rock graduate degree program or good standing with the UA Little Rock Graduate School for continuing graduate students;
Ability to work the required hours (FT-50% - 20 hours per week/PT-25% - 10 hours per week) with regular attendance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Attend class sessions;
Serve as an assistant in laboratory activities;
Lead a class activity such as a discussion group or demonstration;
Tutor students;
Hold Office Hours and respond to email questions from students;
Proctor examinations;
Grade tests and homework assignments;
Assist with the development and evaluation of instructional materials.

Part-time Description
The Adjunct Instructor- ARCOM will direct the education and instruction of medical students while providing mentorship and motivation for learning, research and scholarly activity in classroom environments, clinical settings, active learning groups, laboratory experience and research opportunities. Additionally, he/she will ensure the integration of scientifically based, outcome evaluated clinical knowledge and skills, biomedical sciences, and osteopathic principles and practices for predoctoral and/or postdoctoral students and provide service to the College and professional communities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide instructional activities, materials, and engage in student assessments (as applicable) in the appropriate area of specialization.
Participate in curriculum development, assessment and modification as a part of the college's ongoing quality improvement and assessment program.
Participate in the evaluation and grading of students, provide feedback and remedial assistance to ensure that the student of ACHE meet the standards established by the faculty and college and obtain the knowledge, skills and competency required.
Demonstrate and role model an ongoing ability to work cooperatively with colleagues, supervisors, and support staff.
Demonstrate adaptability and the willingness to assist the college in fulfilling its mission and vision through teaching, academic administrative duties, providing patient care, and community service and/or perform special duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualifications
DO or MD with current Board certification in appropriate area of specialization or a licensed healthcare professional with a terminal degree in their area of expertise or clinical practice.
Academic experience at a College of Osteopathic Medicine, College of Allopathic Medicine, Academic Health Care Teaching Center “or” experience in a Graduate Medical Education Program.
Demonstrated leadership, productivity and administrative experience in a clinical, professional, research or educational settings.
Good standing with all regulatory and governmental boards and agencies.
Eligible for coverage by college's malpractice insurer if applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
Three (3) years academic experience as a full time faculty member at a College of Osteopathic Medicine, College of Allopathic Medicine, Academic Health Care Teaching Center or five (5) years of experience as a full time faculty member in a Graduate Medical Education Program.
Demonstrated leadership and productivity in the areas of clinical or professional service, scholarly activity, medical research or education.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities
