POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing assistance to special education students in attainment of Individual Education Plans in support of and working with and at the direction of special education and regular education teachers. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reinforces classroom learning concepts and support for all typically developing children and special education children in the classroom as directed by the early childhood teaching staff and the early childhood special education staff.
Assists on field trips and with a variety of life skills experiences.
Monitors and assists with child behavior management.
Monitors child progress and assists in providing adaptations and taking observations in learning environment.
Attend various meetings and staffings as needed.
May perform diapering and toileting as needed.
May require additional training for special health and educational purpose.
Assists in home visitations, parent conferences and engages parents to contribute to learning opportunities within their child's pre-school experiences

The Department is also seeking a Physician-Scientist to lead the research endeavors in the field of autoimmunity and targeted therapies.
The Division currently has three Rheumatologists, two Physician-Scientists and two dedicated Rheumatology Advanced Practice Providers. The Division currently sees the entire spectrum of rheumatic disease. The faculty also work closely with world-class physicians in other divisions in a multidisciplinary fashion to evaluate and manage patients within the states as well as patients coming from other states and at times other countries.

Position Summary:
The Chief of the Office of Simulation Education will report to the Associate Dean of Clinical Education, with a collaborative, lateral relationship to the Chair of Primary Care or other relevant department(s) involved in clinical skills instruction. This structure is designed to support cross-curricular coordination, academic integration, and operational alignment across departments. The Chief of the Office of Simulation Education will hold a faculty appointment, which is essential for teaching, assessment, and participation in academic governance.
This position may be filled by either a contract renewable or tenure-track faculty member, to be determined at the point of offer after consideration of applicable experience and credentials. Individuals who currently hold tenure at a regionally accredited institution may be recommended for tenure or retreat rights at UNC following consultation with appropriate faculty groups and university administration, and upon approval by the Board of Trustees. The Chief of the Office of Simulation Education will lead the development and operations of the simulation program at a newly established osteopathic medical school. This includes standardized patient (SP) encounters, high-fidelity mannikin-based scenarios, procedural skills training, and coordination of interprofessional simulation events. This position will work closely with clinical and pre-clinical faculty to ensure that simulation experiences align with the educational goals of the curriculum and reflect best practices in health professions education.
Applicants will have a background in medical education, with strong organizational and leadership skills. The position includes supplemental teaching in clinical labs and/or case-based learning settings, oversight of simulation center operations and personnel, budget management, and contributions to student assessment and faculty development.

Simulation Program Oversight (50%)
* Maintain, budget oversight for the simulation center as aligned with UNC COM priorities and submit budget requests at least annually.
* Plan, schedule and manage simulation activities (to include, but not limited to, standardized patients, high fidelity mannikins, task trainers and virtual simulation software).
* Supervise simulation staff to include technicians and standardized patient personnel, through hiring, training and termination.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Examples of Duties: The following examples of duties are intended to be illustrative only and not to be construed as all inclusive.
Instructs classes within the Pottery area for youth and adult classes.
Fulfills role as lab monitor including loading, firing, unloading kilns, mixing glazes, cleaning, monitoring supplies and assisting students as needed.
Plans and prepares innovative and challenging class curriculum for children and adults.
Responsible for facilitating Pottery Birthday Parties when scheduled.
Responsible for keeping the pottery studio clean and organized, including tables, cubby areas, kiln and glazing room, and maintaining cleanliness of wheels, sinks, slab roller and other equipment.
Manages pottery sales with the sale of items.
Performs related duties as assigned and required.
Physical and Environmental Standards: Must be able to repeatedly sit, walk, stand, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, reach and lift, push, and pull. Must be able to type, write, use a calculator, use a computer, and answer the telephone. Must possess the ability to use the telephone/cellphone to talk and hear. The ability to communicate face-to-face is needed. Vision requirements include near and far acuity. Must be able to properly lift/move 20 pounds unassisted and 40 pounds with help. Must be able conduct classes at all four (4) recreation facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Background in art programming for youth and adults. Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written formats with staff and members. Ability to understand and interpret rules and regulations which govern the HRCA membership. Ability to collect, analyze and present data in report format. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, peers and HRCA membership. Must possess or be able to obtain current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days of employment.
Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Job Summary:
The University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus, School of Dental Medicine (SDM) welcomes applications from exceptional candidates for a full-time, clinical track faculty (Open Rank) to work in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) and the CU School of Dental Medicine. The successful candidate will be an outstanding clinician-educator with interest in, and commitment to clinical care, teaching, and scholarship. This position reports to the department chair with their primarily location at CHCO.
The Pediatric Dentistry clinics provide routine dental check-ups and complex oral treatments. Faculty focus on providing care for all children, including those with special needs, by creating care plans that include special behavioral requirements as needed for each child. The Department of Pediatric Dentistry faculty dedicate their time exclusively to working with children, teens and young adults with SHCN.
The pediatric dentistry program has three care sites, including the hospital's newest multidisciplinary facilities, the Health Pavilion Dental Center and North Campus Dental Center, and Main Children's Hospital on the Anschutz Medical Campus.
