The job of TeacherAssistant - Title I (TeacherAssistant Title I) is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional program within assigned classroom with specific responsibility for working with individual and/or small groups of students; and providing clerical support to teacher/s and staff.
Essential Functions
Adapts classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the supervising teacher for the purpose of supporting and reinforcing classroom objectives.
Administers classroom assignments, tests, homework assignments, make-up work, etc. for the purpose of supporting teachers in the instructional process.
Assists students, individually or in small groups, with lesson assignments (e.g. read stories, listen to students read, providing writing assistance, reinforce English lessons, provide spelling practice, facilitate activities, computer learning programs, etc.) for the purpose of practicing and/or reinforcing learning concepts and assisting students in reaching academic goals and grade level standards.

Implements, under the supervision of assigned teacher, instructional programs and lesson plans for the purpose of presenting and/or reinforcing learning concepts.
Maintains classroom equipment, work area, and manual and electronic files and records for the purpose of ensuring availability of items; providing written reference; providing a safe learning environment; and/or meeting mandated requirements.
Monitors individual and/or groups of students in a variety of settings (e.g. classroom, playground, field trips, library, lunchroom, bus loading/unloading, etc.) for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.
Reports observations and incidents relating to specific students (e.g. accidents, fights, inappropriate social behavior, violations of rules, safety conditions, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information to appropriate instructional and/or administrative personnel.
Supports classroom teachers and other school personnel for the purpose of assisting them in the implementation of curriculum and teaching methodologies.
Attends meetings and in-service presentations for the purpose of acquiring and/or conveying information relative to job functions.
Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

The Role
We are seeking exceptional part-time faculty members in both Language Arts and Public Speaking, across elementary through high school levels (Grades 1-12).
This is not a typical teaching role. At Brain Power, you will lead seminar-style classes of 6-12 highly motivated, gifted students. Our pedagogy is rooted in Socratic dialogue-teachers guide students through rigorous discussions, probing questions, and challenging ideas that inspire critical thinking, creativity, and leadership.
Language Arts: Engage students with advanced vocabulary, sophisticated fiction and non-fiction, history of ideas, rhetorical strategies, and the art of expressive, creative, and persuasive writing.
Public Speaking: Challenge students to communicate with confidence, clarity, and persuasion through structured speechwriting, debate, storytelling, and presentation exercises that extend well beyond the standard classroom experience.
All materials are provided, developed and tested over decades of practice. Yet we know the true magic happens when faculty bring their own creativity, intellectual flair, and research interests into the classroom.

Department: Temp Center Salary/Grade: TMP/01 Residential TeachingAssistant CTD Summer Academic Camp at Northwestern University Residential TeachingAssistants (RTAs) supervise and support one group of 10-14 residents in the residence hall. As role models, RTAs build a safe, nurturing and fun environment for students. Responsibilities/Duties:
Community Development
Responsible for the supervision, leadership, and development of a comprehensive living-learning environment housing 150-200 students under the guidance of the Director of Residence Life
Assist the Director of Residence Life in the overall leadership and management of all residential students
Develop intentional assessment practices to address the needs of each community and create action steps to meet those intended outcomes
Execute a community development plan for the residential area focused on the learning, growth, and development of students
Housing Operations and Administrative Responsibilities
Coordinate day-to-day operations of the residential area and department such as occupancy, facilities management, hall opening and closing, room selection, conduct issues, and the housing reassignment process
Manage efficient and accurate operational reports and communicate regularly with necessary offices
Assist the Director of Residence Life in identifying and resolving facility issues in a timely fashion and proactively identify opportunities to improve the residential environment
Ensure the observance of all Concordia applicable policies, rules, and regulations as well as the laws of the city, state, and nation
Practice fiscal responsibility in the administration and oversight of community programming budget
Establish healthy mentoring relationships through daily interactions with students, mediate conflicts, respond to their needs and refer students to appropriate resources as needed
Implement the departmental programming model and provide guidance to staff in achieving learning outcomes for the community

Educational Supervision
Along with the Director of Residence Life, supervise, train, evaluate and provide leadership to a Resident Assistant staff of 6-8 staff members

Provide proactive visible leadership within the community to promote the institution's values and services, and support residential programming
Collaborate with multiple University offices in creating new educational initiatives and developing more efficient practices that seek to create cutting edge residential experiences for students
Crisis Intervention & Response
Participate in on-call emergency duty rotation throughout the year (evenings and weekends), excluding Christmas, Spring, and Summer academic breaks providing crisis support and response to students
Collaborate with Department of Public Safety, and other qualified persons on immediate response to incidents in hall, as needed
Provide supportive leadership in responding to the needs of individuals in crisis and make necessary referrals and guidance as needed
Collaborate with multiple student services offices in checking in and following up on the welfare of students and make referrals as needed
Oversight of Hall Management
Assist in the organization, management, development, and implementation of a residence hall government under the direction of the Director of Residence Life
Serve as an active co-advisor for residence hall staff and residents
Attend all staff meetings and executive board meetings and provide leadership and counsel as needed
Research and seek to implement current best practices related to creating an effective residence hall environment
Assist in the implementation of residence hall programs and provide leadership support as needed

Responsibilities
Aids the Head Coach in the organization and operation of an effective and competitive men's soccer program.
Assists the Head Coach in the coordination of recruitment of student-athletes.
Maintains and updates a sufficient inventory of equipment. Oversees the issuing and collecting of all equipment, uniforms, supplies, and materials.
Coordinates all team travel arrangements for the program.
Attends all pre-season conditioning and non-traditional season practices for the men's soccer program. Attends and participates in all team planning sessions with coaching staff.
Aids in the planning, organizing, and executing of all in-season practice sessions for men's soccer.
Conducts on-field coaching during intercollegiate contests as set by the Head Coach.
Develops and carries out fundraising projects when appropriate.
Works closely with the Head Coach and Director of Athletic Communications (DAC) pertaining to all media relations. Provides information for the promotional needs of game programs, team media guides, recruiting brochures and other publications.
Responsible for reporting to the media, via the DAC, all scores, statistics, and game results when competing on the road.
Aids in video analysis, game film breakdown, and individual development using Hudl.
Manages and maintains recruiting database while ensuring consistent and professional communication with prospective student-athletes.
Identifies and evaluates prospective student-athletes through film review, showcases, and in-person scouting.
Communicates professionally with recruits and their families via phone, email, text messaging, and social media.

Deliver one-on-one assisted stretch sessions
Educate clients on stretching techniques & mobility
Create customized stretching experience for clients
Help create a unique StretchLab Experience to build Memberships & Retention
Ensure client safety thru proper stretch techniques & enforce StretchLab Polices & Safety Regulations
Attend monthly staff meetings, training sessions, webinars & continuing education
Handle member concerns when applicable
Attend offsite pop-up events thru out the community
Help clean & maintain the studio environment & equipment
Required Characteristics
Health or Fitness experience is required or Degrees in Kinesiology/Exercise Science
Anatomy knowledge required
Must have professional work ethic, be reliable and adhere to our strict punctuality policies
Positive energy, enthusiasm & attitude
Ability to create a welcoming environment for all people

ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR - CHEMISTRY/PHYSICAL SCIENCE MALCOLM X COLLEGE Malcolm X College is currently seeking a Part-time Adjunct Instructor to teach Chemistry/Physical Science. QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master's Degree in a Physical Science (Chemistry, Physics Etc.) - OR - Master's Degree and 18 Graduate Semester Hours in Physical Science/Chemistry
* Teaching experience preferred - either higher education or high school levels
* Knowledge of Brightspace Learning Management System or similar Learning Management System, preferred
* Prior experience with online teaching (via Zoom) and/or online teaching certification is strongly preferred.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate with diverse group of staff and students required
* Experience with a diverse, multi-lingual student population is desired, as is a commitment to the open access mission of the community college.
Salary Range: $800 - 943 Per Contact Hour
The rate paid is in accordance with City Colleges approved salary scale.

Department: Temp Center Salary/Grade: TMP/01 TeachingAssistant (Grades 6-12) CTD Academic Summer Camp at Northwestern University TeachingAssistants work in close collaboration with Instructors to provide academically challenging instruction to CTD students. TeachingAssistants support student engagement and directly supervise students before class, during lunch, and throughout the academic day . TeachingAssistants lead virtual study sessions online in the evenings twice per week.
Employment Dates and Compensation
* Tentative training dates: June 24, 2026 & June 25, 2026
* Dates of Employment: June 28 - August 7, 2026
* Compensation: $17.25/hr.
* M-F, 8:00am - 3:30pm, one half-hour unpaid break per day; 37.5 hours weekly max

Qualifications
* Current or past enrollment in a college undergraduate or graduate degree program required.
* Previous experience working with children in a classroom or camp setting is a plus.
* CLI TeachingAssistant applicants: Demonstrated experience in service-learning and/or experiential education programs.
* Must be able to traverse distances of at least one mile with or without accommodation.

General Responsibilities
* Learn, implement, and adhere to CTD and Northwestern policies, procedures, and staff conduct expectations as outlined in the staff handbook and by administrative staff.
* Maintain CTD's standard of active supervision at all times according to grade level requirements.
* Communicate regularly with Instructor to review course goals, daily objectives, teaching strategies and methods, and expectations of the TA role.
* Assist Instructors with all instruction-related tasks, such as taking notes on student progress, leading small groups, etc.
* Prepare for specific lessons and daily duties by keeping up with course content, readings, etc.
* Substitute for Instructor, if necessary.
* Communicate with academic, residential, and administrative staff regarding student progress.
* Promptly document any academic or behavioral issues within 12 hours of any incident.
* Review student medical notes, i.e. allergies/other medical needs, and uphold confidentiality policies.
* Assume program-related responsibilities as requested by CTD administrative staff.
* Science TAs: Assist Instructor and/or Lab Prep Coordinator in the set up and clean-up of labs; implement safety plans according to university guidelines and regulations.
* Science TAs: participate in Northwestern University and outside laboratory (if applicable) safety training.
* Assume program-related responsibilities as reasonably requested by CTD directors and administrators.

Duties and Responsibilities
Assists the head coach with the daily operations of the men's volleyball program at North Park University.
Analyze performance and instruct athletes in volleyball techniques and strategies in preparation for and during athletics competition.
Assist with all phases of competitive NCAA and CCIW compliant recruiting.
Execute practice and match planning/evaluation, including video exchange and breakdown.
Ensure a commitment to the academic success of volleyball student-athletes, including monitoring academic performance, attendance, and social behavior.
Build and sustain positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and the campus community.
Manage equipment usage.
Complete other duties as assigned by the Head Men's Volleyball Coach, Assistant Vice President for Athletics, and Associate and Assistant Athletic Directors.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree is required.
Applicant must obtain acceptance in a North Park University graduate program.
Coaching or playing experience and extensive knowledge of the sport of volleyball at the collegiate level are required.
Applicants must be able to work an untraditional work schedule (i.e., frequent nights and weekends) and lift and move athletic equipment.
A valid driver's license is required, and applicant must be able to travel with the team, by vehicle or plane.
