Position SummaryThe TeachingAssistant at the Children's Community School (CCS) provides support to help further implement our school's academic strategy for our 138 individual students from 1st through Grade 8. This position requires 25 hours per week as well as approval from financial aid for Federal Work Study. Hours would be adjusted to meet Post Student's schedule; however, the daily class/grade program runs from 9:00 am through 3:00 pm each school day on-site. Key Responsibilities
Children's Community School, through the assistance of Post University would welcome University Students who are majoring in Education or a related field who can assist our school in offering each child greater success in their studies and solidifying their forward trajectory.
Each assistant can not only help meet the needs outlined by the primary teacher, tutor, or counselor for the student but also bring to each session their own capabilities such as astronomy, computer programming, science, mathematics, reading and writing or other personal strengths. Assistants will work closely with Reading Tutor's to provide tutoring services to elementary school-age students. Post Work Study Program participants are welcomed to bring with their energy, an observer's viewpoint, and share a distinct academic specialty and outlook.

Bachelor's in Human Services or related field preferred. Excellent communication skills a must. High School diploma required.
