Each academic credit or equivalent credit shall be equal to 110 hours of occupational experience. (a major in a healthcare, fire service, emergency medical, or other related area is preferred; equivalency is determined by considering occupational experience and other formal education). * Twenty-four months (4,000 hours) of verifiable occupational experience as a fully qualified worker in the occupational area, of which 2,000 hours shall be within the previous five years. One year (2,000 hours) of related occupation experience may be waived if the occupational instructor has at least two years of post-secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within five years. * Current Wisconsin Fire and Emergency Services Instructor I Certification; FESI II Preferred * Driver/Operator Pumper Certification Preferred * Current Wisconsin Live Fire Instructor Certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire. * Eligibility for WCTC Credentialing System. * Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and instruct quality education programs. * Technology-based, simulation, and scenario-based instruction experience desirable. NOTE: An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired will also be considered. This is a continuous posting.
