PN Teaching Assistant - Clinical - Part-Time The PN Teaching Assistant - Clinical is responsible for instructing students at a clinical site, organizing the curriculum, overseeing student performance and management at the clinical site, tracking the progress of each student they are responsible for supporting and keeping accurate records/files on each student at the clinical site(s) he or she teaches under the supervision of the primary faculty member within a given course. Ashland University seeks a graduate assistant to serve as the men's and women's assistant tennis coach. This position will report to the head tennis coach and the Director of Athletics. Ashland University is a NCAA Division II institution that competes in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference ( GMAC ). The university is located midway between Cleveland and Columbus off of Interstate 71. Ashland University offers 24 varsity sports and features over 750 student-athletes. This position will assist in coaching student-athletes on a daily basis. This will include one-on-one instruction and coaching in a group setting. The assistant tennis coach will help the head tennis coach in coaching during practices and matches. This position will help in match set-up and match administration. This position will be involved in recruiting potential student-athletes and help the tennis program reach its roster goal. This will include contacting potential student-athletes by phone and email, conducting campus tours and evaluating the playing ability of potential student-athletes. This position will also be involved in making team travel plans, helping to monitor academic progress of team members and in helping to promote the tennis program in a variety of ways, including camps and clinics. The School of Arts, Sciences & Education at Walsh University is accepting applications for adjunct faculty to teach the following undergraduate English courses in composition: ENG 100 - Writing Workshop Intensive work in writing paragraphs and short essays to remedy basic errors in grammar, usage, and syntax. Students should expect to spend 8 to 10 hours per semester in The Writing Center for individualized study and tutorial assistance. Computer lab used to develop writing skills. ENG 101 - Exploration of Self A study of the writing process with the personal essay as its goal. Students compose informal and autobiographical essays after studying model works representing various cultures and writings. ENG 102 - Reading/Writing Connections An introduction to research emphasizing those skills essential to production of the formal research paper. Students learn the principles of argumentation and close textual analysis, including the ability to summarize, paraphrase, annotate, document, and critically interpret sources. Students also study the nature of academic argument and oral presentation. Most sections are offered in an on-campus academic classroom although some online sections may be offered.
