Teaching assistants help faculty with the conduct and delivery of courses. Services provided by teaching assistants include, but are not limited to, grading, monitoring, leading discussion sessions, offering office hour assistance to students, research, course presentation preparation, and performing clerical tasks associated with course instruction. Teaching assistants are supervised by the course instructor of record and are subject to all applicable Institute policies. About BEAM The mission of BEAM is to create pathways for students from low-income and underserved communities to become scientists, mathematicians, engineers, and computer scientists.
